EMX2 – Great Success for the Team Gariboldi Racing

Bulgarian race was the big race for Italian Yamaha Team Gariboldi Racing. Their riders Christophe Charlier (France) and Klemen Gercar (Slovenia) conquered first two positions, third was KTM rider Jeffrey Herlings (Netherlands) from the team JM Racing.

Alex Salvini (Husqvarna) and Jeffrey Herlings (KTM) took the pole in sunny Troyan, Bulgaria. This was already the third following pole for Salvini, who also won the last MX3 event.

Brad Anderson Took The Home Pole In Hawkstone Park

Great Britain host the firs event for the FIM MX3 World Championship and EMX2 European Championship 2009. The Qualifying day was successful for home rider Brad Anderson (Honda), who won the MX3 Qualifying Practice, while Ken Roczen (Suzuki) and Christophe Charlier (Yamaha) won the EMX2 Qualifying races.

Changes to the '09 MX3 Calendar

The calendar of the 2009 FIM MX3 Motocross World Championship, starting on April 12 at Hawkstone Park (Great Britain), will be subjected to the following changes. The round scheduled on May 10 in Alhama de Murcia, Spain, is cancelled. The round scheduled on June 7 in Faenza, Italy, is replaced by Holice, Czech Republic.

Breugelmans Clinches MX3 World Championship Title in Germany

KTM rider Sven Breugelmans of the JMRacing Team may not have gained any points in the second of two motos at the final GP of the season in Germany but he still had enough points to seal the title. Breugelmans actually settled the title in the opening moto on what was one of the longest tracks on the season with few opportunities to overtake. Then in the inspection lap of the second moto his bike experienced some technical difficulties and he was unable to start. "The engine of my bike stopped, I do not know why. I couldn't go on to start the race. I was lucky that it happened before the second race when I was already the champion." It is Breugelmans second career MX3 title.

The most successful riders at the Swiss Qualifying Practice were Patrick Caps from Belgium, who took the pole in the Qualifying Practice for the MX3 World Championship and French rider Loic Rombaut with the pole position for the EMX2 European Championship event.

Stefan Everts Test at Orehova Vas for KTM

A month before the motocross race track in Orehova Vas will host the tenth event for the FIM MX3 World Championship and the UEM EMX2 European Championship, special guests visited the track. Stefan Everts Ten time motocross World Champion Stefan Everts decided to visit Slovenia with his Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team to do some test practice. The former Belgian GP rider was satisfied with the conditions of the World Championship scene.

Fantastic Series for Valentin Tiellet

French KTM rider Valentin Teillet was continuing series of great results in Portugal. He did two fantastic races and he is leading EMX2 Championship Classification for 30 points. The race track was hard, difficult, it has many jumps and different corners. First race was cancelled because of catastrophic crash that happened immediately after the start. Many riders were involved and start has to be repeated. Some of riders were injured. Among those riders were also Spanish Jose Antonio Butron Oliva who was third in EMX2 Championship Classification before the race, Italian Michele De Bortoli, German rider Ken Roczen and some others.

French Riders Took First Positions in Italy

The third event for EMX2 European Championship was in Italy. French Valentin Teillet got the podium, again. It was the third podium for seventeen years old KTM rider this season. He won the race with second place and the victory, although it was not the race track that he would like very much. First race was won by Arnaud Tonus (KTM) from Switzerland. Teillet was close to the victory. He finished only three seconds after Tonus. The winner of the last event, French rider Loic Larrieu finished third. The best home rider in the first race was Pier Filippo Bertuzzo on the fourth position, but he did not make good overall result because he finished the second race already in the first lap.
