Top Five Finishes for Bayliss & Fabrizio at Monza
4 Days ago
As Troy Bayliss (Ducati Xerox) himself predicted yesterday, today's races consisted of hard fought battles. Despite a DNF in Race 2, a third place finish in Race 1 means that Troy and his Ducati 1098 F08 have nonetheless further increased the championship lead. Michel Fabrizio rode hard in both races to take ninth and fifth position finishes, and hence 18 extremely important championship points.

The hard work that the Ducati Xerox Team put in during the preceding sessions paid off and Troy, having qualified eighth for Superpole, was able to complete a flying lap on board his Ducati 1098 F08.

A special track for both the Ducati Xerox riders, the weekend is sure to be as thrilling as ever, with Troy Bayliss and Michel Fabrizio both hopeful of being able to rely on the fantastic support that the Italian fans and Ducatisti always provide. Bayliss cites Monza as one of his preferred tracks and his results here over the past years, which include six wins, speak for themselves. After his double win at Assen a fortnight ago, Troy hopes for another successful weekend here.

Difficult Weekend for Roberts
29 April 2008
It was a difficult weekend for Brendan Roberts and the Ducati Xerox Junior team at round two of the European FIM 1000 Cup Championship at Assen TT Circuit. After suffering a number of technical problems throughout the weekend on the Ducati 1098 R, Roberts crashed out of the race whilst in a dice for the lead. After winning the opening round at Valencia a couple of weeks ago, Roberts and the team were in high spirits as they headed for the Dutch circuit and were eager to back up the race win that they secured. Sadly that was not to be the case; he only managed one full dry session without having bike gremlins, which caused issues during both qualifying sessions.

Bayliss Does the Double Again!!
28 April 2008 | 2 Comments
Troy Bayliss (Ducati Xerox) celebrated victory once more as he climbed on to the top step of the podium in both of today's races at Assen. Troy and his Ducati 1098 F08 dominated both races, although the Australian rider faced something of a battle against Yamaha rider Haga in the second outing this afternoon. A perfect finish to a weekend in which Bayliss has been consistently strong, and these wins, his fourth and fifth of the ten races held so far this season, mean that his lead in the riders championship is extended to 70 points. Bayliss now holds 178 points and second-placed Checa has so far accumulated 108.

Team-mate Michel Fabrizio has also visited the podium at the Dutch TT Circuit more than once in the past and is therefore equally as enthusiastic to return there again this season.

Ducati Xerox Complete Testing Session At Monza
12 April 2008
The Ducati Xerox Team spent yesterday and this morning on track at Monza with official factory riders Troy Bayliss and Michel Fabrizio continuing to test the performance of the Ducati 1098 F08. Despite heavy rainfall on both days the two riders managed to complete a decent number of laps yesterday while only Fabrizio went out this morning. The test session proved extremely useful for the Ducati Xerox Team, as this was the first real chance that the riders have had to test the F08 in such conditions. The team were able to collate important data regarding the capabilities of the new machine at this track, in preparation for Round 5 of the World Superbike championship which will be held here at Monza next month.

Bayliss 4th & Fabrizio 5th In Friday SBK Qualifying
04 April 2008
During the morning's practice session the Ducati Xerox Team worked hard to put the new Ducati 1098 F08 on the right track and the results of afternoon qualifying were extremely promising with Bayliss and Fabrizio taking fourth and fifth position respectively. Neither had ridden the new machine at the Ricardo Tormo circuit before today, as the team did not participate in the test session held here two weeks ago. After the month long break both riders therefore expected it to take a little time to get back into the rhythm and find the right set-up for the F08 at this particular track, so the team is positive about the work and results achieved here today.

03 April 2008
Troy Bayliss and Michel Fabrizio (Ducati Xerox) are both fit and ready for Round 3 and the first European appointment on the 2008 Superbike calendar, taking place this weekend at the Ricardo Tormo circuit of Valencia in Spain. Having had nearly a month to recuperate from the injuries they sustained in Phillip Island, both riders are now keen to build upon the results achieved already in the opening rounds of the championship. Bayliss has won three of the four races held so far, and heads to Spain as championship leader, and team-mate Fabrizio has also made an impressive start, having already scored his first podium finish with the Ducati Xerox Team.

Bayliss Takes The Double Win At Phillip Island
02 March 2008 | 2 Comments
An incredible day for the Ducati Xerox Team with both Bayliss and Fabrizio performing impeccably. Twice world-champion Troy Bayliss took the double win in front of his home crowd, in what is to be his last ever Superbike race day at Phillip Island. Despite the elbow injury he sustained in a high-side yesterday morning, Bayliss rode the two races perfectly, leading the field from the start in race one (restart) and leading for most of race two after rival Corser crashed out in the early stages.

Pole Position & Third Place In Superpole For Xerox
02 March 2008
A fantastic result for Bayliss and Fabrizio (Ducati Xerox) in Superpole today with Bayliss just snatching pole from fellow Australian Corser, breaking the lap record in the process, while team-mate Fabrizio secured third place on the grid. Two front row places on tomorrow's grid for the riders and their new 1098 F08 machine is a very satisfying result for the Ducati Xerox Team. Bayliss' performance was all the more impressive as after high-siding in this morning's qualifying session, a visit to the circuit's clinic resulted in him having eight stitches administered to his left elbow.

2nd & 3rd Fastest Times For Bayliss & Fabrizio
29 February 2008
The Ducati Xerox Team is more than satisfied with the way the weekend has begun at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, with Bayliss and Fabrizio registering the second and third fastest times in this afternoon's first qualifying session. Rain showers earlier this morning meant that both riders had to cope with less than optimum grip on the track but this did not seem to deter them and an improvement in the weather conditions throughout the day allowed for some improvements regarding the set up of the 1098 F08 machines to take place in both riders' pit garages.

Ducati Xerox Team Prepares For Phillip Island
28 February 2008
Troy Bayliss and Michel Fabrizio (Ducati Xerox) have landed in Australia and are ready for another great weekend of racing after making such a strong start last week in Qatar. Having secured a victory and a second place finish last year at the Island, Bayliss, who has announced he will retire after the 2008 World Superbike season, is keen to repeat that success at his home track again this year in front of a large crowd of spectators. Bayliss heads into this second round leading the championship with 38 points. He has only just recovered from his last visit to this track when he broke his collarbone during the January winter test session. Team-mate Fabrizio is looking to build on the fast times he set during winter testing and the encouraging fifth place achieved in his first round with the Ducati Xerox Team last week in Qatar.

Young Michel Fabrizio made a determined start to his year and leaves Qatar with 18 championship points, accumulated from his tenth (race 1) and fifth (race 2) place finishes. A Challenging Superpole For The Ducati Xerox Team
22 February 2008 | 1 Comment
Both Ducati Xerox Team riders Bayliss and Fabrizio took part in today's closely fought Superpole to take seventh and tenth place respectively on the grid for tomorrow's races. Another positive qualifying session this morning was followed by Superpole in which Bayliss failed to match the lap times he had recorded earlier. Team-mate Fabrizio improved on his best qualifying time but a competitive field and decisions regarding tyre usage meant that unfortunately neither rider was able to secure a front-row start.

Bayliss & Fabrizio Battle Against The Elements At Losail
21 February 2008
Bayliss and Fabrizio (Ducati Xerox) faced difficult climactic conditions today as the 2008 World Superbike championship officially got underway. Winds of up to 40 km/h meant that riders were unable to record any particularly fast laps and the morning practice session was instead used to check the settings of the new Ducati 1098 F08 machines. The afternoon qualifying session went ahead in similar conditions at the Losail International Circuit with both riders attempting to improve on the times recorded in the morning.
