In just two weeks times, at the 2008 Festival of Speed (11-13 July), Goodwood will assemble a selection of world-beating motorcycles and riders, both past and present. A mouth-watering selection of pre-war two-wheeled machines will be in action on the famous Goodwood hillclimb, including the 1925 JAP V-twin Brough-Superior SS100 – winner of a Brooklands Gold Star in 1926 – plus the ground-breaking three-cylinder supercharged 1939 DKW350SS that has to be heard to be believed.

Bou Back on Top at Grand Prix

Toni Bou - Repsol Montesa HRC took another win at the Grand Prix of Poland, to stretch his advantage in the 2007 championship by a further three points, to a healthy 20-point margin. Second today was again Adam Raga - Gas Gas with Albert Cabestany - Sherco Tarragona third. Bou’s team-mate Takahisa Fujinami - Repsol Montesa HRC finished the event in fourth after confusion over the amount of time left for one lap caused him to pick up two marks while Dougie Lampkin - Repsol Montesa HRC finished the event fifth. The final result did not reflect the effort put in by the three Repsol liveried riders however, the trio were holding the top three positions after the first lap.

Repsol's Takahisa Fujinami Earns World Championship Runner-Up Title Again

The Japanese Repsol rider takes the second place in the overall standings after a fourth place in the last round of the season staged in the Belgium city of Spa Francorchamps. The Repsol-Montesa HRC team has achieved in its second season with the Cota 4RT 4 stroke machines the highest number of victories, five. Four were clinched by Takahisa Fujinami -who has won the largest number of races- and one by Dougie Lampkin. Moreover Montesa was able to take its ninth makes' championship title. Laia Sanz, who took her seventh women's' world championship title yesterday finished seventh in the Junior World Championship.

Honda's Lampkin Takes Second At US GP & Second In Championship

Dougie Lampkin, Repsol Montesa HRC recorded a pair of second places at the US Grand Prix held at Sequatchie, Tennesse, on his factory Cota 4RT and in doing so moves up to second spot in the overall standings. Lampkin was unable to beat Adam Raga, Gas Gas on either day of the competition, but was satisfied with his results, especially on Sunday after a mystery illness had forced him to his hotel bed early on Saturday night.
