Lancaster Harley-Davidson Signs on for AMA Sports Magic Mile Shootout

The amateur and pro-am racing department of the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), announced today that Lancaster Harley-Davidson has come on board as a heat race sponsor for the headline class at the AMA Sports Magic Mile Shootout, promoted and organized by the Du Quoin State Fair.

Tim Farr Second in Erzberg Iron Road Prologue

KTM's American factory rider and 13-times ATV Pro Champion caused a sensation at the Erzberg Rodeo when he placed second riding the company's sports ATV, launched in 2007 in the USA and in 2008 in Europe.
It was at least 60 places better than ATVs had ever achieved on the Iron Mountain in former editions of the Erzberg Rodeo. It was the American professional racer's first appearance at the Erzberg Rodeo, an event he said he had been following with interest for several years. "I really wanted to come here to compete and it's quite a surprise for me that I was up with the front runners. I definitely want to come back to Erzberg again," Farr said at the post race press conference.

31st AMA Dirt Track Grand Championships Set to Kick Off July 1

Between July 1 and July 7 the Du Quoin (Illinois) State Fairgrounds will once again play host to the 2007 AMA Black Cat Gold Dirt Track Grand Championships, the nation’s premier amateur dirt track racing event. Featuring over 800 pre-entries, the AMA Black Cat Gold Dirt Track Grand Championships will crown more than 100 AMA Amateur National Champions and 24 Grand Champions. In addition to the individual National Champions, four marquee awards highlight the events standout performers; Vet/Senior Dirt Tracker of the Year, Youth Dirt Tracker of the Year, The Fast Brain Award and the coveted AMA Dirt Track Horizon Award.

Black Cat To Sponsor Grand Championships

Black Cat, the well-known fireworks maker, has signed as the title sponsor for the 2007 AMA Dirt Track Grand Championships. The title of the series this year will be AMA Black Cat Gold Dirt Track Grand Championships. The AMA Black Cat Dirt Track Grand Championships are the pinnacle of amateur dirt-track racing bringing together the top racers from across the country to the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds in Du Quoin, Ill., on July 1-7. The prestigious Dirt Track AMA Horizon Award is presented during this annual gathering.
