DeGraaf Grand Prix Riders Shining at Wet Philip Island

The first day for the DeGraaf Grand Prix Team during the Australian Grand Prix went superb. Danny Webb just missed the provisional pole position and ended on a very good second place. Also Stevie Bonsey liked the wet conditions at Philip Island and finished the session on a seventh position. Dutchman Hugo van den Berg rode a superb session and manages to ride his best qualification till now and grabbed the tenth position. The dry first session in the morning started good for British Danny Webb. During the session Webb was constantly in the top 10 and finish the session on a nice ninth position. Stevie Bonsey could found his rhythm fast and after several adjustments to the set-up the American ended on the 15th position. Hugo van den Berg had a little crash in the middle of the session but picked it up and could finish the session on a 28th position.

Unlucky for Webb & Bonsey (DNF),van den Berg Battles On

The Cardion AB Grand Prix Czech Republic race has brought Englishman Danny Webb and American Stevie Bonsey nothing. Danny Webb was already out in the second turn of the first lap and Stevie Bonsey couldn’t finish the race because of a broken muffler. Hugo van den Berg started from the 35th position and battles himself to a 25th position. The race was short for the little British rider Danny Webb. After a bad start Webb got boxed in at the first turn and wanted to make the lost positions up in the second turn but lost the front. In his crash he took out the Japanese riders Koyama and Nagakami.

Changeable Weather Circumstances Stop Danny Webb

The grid positions of the Cardion AB Grand Prix Czech Republic didn’t change in the second qualification. Danny Webb will start tomorrow from the 4th row on the 16th position. Stevie Bonsey will start one row back from Danny on the 18th position. Hugo van den Berg stays on the 9th row will start tomorrow the race from the 35th position. In the wet morning session Danny Webb managed to ride to the 10th position and was two seconds back of fastest rider Nicolas Terol.

Van den Berg, Webb & Bonsey No points at the Ring

The Alice Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland didn’t bring what the DeGraaf Grand Prix Team expected. Stevie Bonsey was the only rider who finished the race and ended up on an 18th spot. Hugo van den Berg had to retire the race because of a technical failure. Also Danny Webb retired after a little cruise in the gravel. After a wet warm-up session, the race started on a dry track. There were still drops of rain coming out of the sky but the race director confirmed the race as a dry race. Just after the chequered flag the rain was coming so the 250cc race went on a wet track.

No Time Improvement for Hugo van den Berg

In wet weather circumstances DeGraaf Grand Prix Team rode a good session in the free practice on Friday morning. The second qualification session it didn’t rain and took place on a dry track. The wind was very strong in this session and only 8 out of 38 riders managed to improve their lap times. Hugo van den Berg and Jerry van de Bunt couldn’t improve their laptimes and stucked on the 25th and 38th position. Stevie Bonsey was one of the 8 riders which was able to improve his laptime. Bonsey climbed up from the 21st position to a 16th position and will start tomorrow from the fourth row.

Good Start for Hugo van den Berg During Dutch TT

The home race for the DeGraaf Grand Prix Team during the A-Style Dutch TT Assen started today. The DeGraaf Grand Prix Team is riding this weekend with two Dutch riders with permenant GP-rider Hugo van den Berg and the 2007 Junior Cup champion Jerry van de Bunt. Van den Berg qualified on a provisional 25th position. Stevie Bonsey wasn’t happy with the qualification and ended up on a disappointed 21st position. In the free practice this morning Hugo van den Berg started good and rode the 23rd lap time in the timesheets. In the third section Van den Berg lost a lot but after some adjustments on the front suspension he closes the gap to 0.1 second. Stevie Bonsey had a good session this morning and parked his Aprilia on a 9th spot. Jerry van de Bunt is making his GP and TT debut on the Assen track. After a heavy back injury it was for the 15-year old boy the first time again to ride a race bike. Van de Bunt equals his best time ever on the Assen circuit and ended up on the 38th spot.

Disappointed Weekend for DeGraaf GP Team at Donington

The Bwin.com British Grand Prix weekend wasn’t a good one for the DeGraaf Grand Prix Team. Stevie Bonsey didn’t manage to score some points and ended up on the 17th position. Hugo van den Berg had troubles to find the good rhythm and passed the finish line on the 25th position. Danny Webb didn’t have luck the whole weekend and in the race he was taken out by Alexis Masbou and broke his right collarbone. Webb won’t race at the A-Style Dutch TT Assen.

No Better Positions for the DeGraaf Team

After the dry qualification on the Friday the Bwin.com British Grand Prix gave typical British weather on the Saturday with a lot of rain. Because of the rain nobody from the DeGraaf Grand Prix Team could improve his lap time. Danny Webb and Stevie Bonsey will start tomorrow from the 4th row based on the qualification times from yesterday. Hugo van den Berg will start tomorrow from the 7th row.
