Hegarty Fifth for Co-ordit in Henderson Cup
26 August 2008
The August Bank Holiday visit to the picturesque circuit of Cadwell Park proved a tough test for BSB newcomers Co-ordit Racing this weekend (23rd-25th August). The 2.18 mile Lincolnshire circuit is notorious for its compact and intimate nature, the track itself providing the narrowest strip of asphalt that the British Championship riders face each season. The tight, narrow and twisting characteristics provided a stiff challenge to team owner Pete Bradshaw and his mechanics to set up Dean Ellison’s Co-ordit Racing Yamaha YZF-R1 Superbikes.

Co-ordit Racing - Cadwell Park Preview
22 August 2008
The demanding Lincolnshire circuit of Cadwell Park will provide the next test for BSB newcomers Co-ordit Racing this weekend (23-25 August). The 2.18 mile circuit has historically proved a firm favourite with both racers and fans over the years, who make the annual pilgrimage to the picturesque circuit. For spectators it offers the chance for close trackside proximity and the spectacle of riders literally ‘jumping’ the Mountain section. For riders, Cadwell Park is one of the most physically demanding tracks due to it’s tight, narrow and twisting characteristics that leave little room for error.

12 August 2008
The Co-ordit Racing Team made the tough trip north of the border to contest the eighth round of the 2008 Bennetts British Superbike series this weekend (8th-10th August). Co-ordit Racing’s Dean Ellison left the 1.3 mile Knockhill circuit in despondent mood after a large dose of bad luck dictated a tough weekend at the 'office'. The Leicestershire based rider fell victim to a mechanical problem in race one, forcing him to retire into the pits with a rear sensor problem on his Yamaha YZF-R1 at the end of the fourth lap.

Team Co-ordit Improve Steadily
21 July 2008
Dean Ellison returned to Oulton Park, scene of his unfortunate accident during Round Three in May, keen to improve his Championship position as he and the Co-ordit Racing Team aim to steadily improve their fortunes on the Yamaha YZF R1 Superbike package. Changeable weather conditions hampered free practice sessions and a technical gremlin robbed Dean of a top fifteen qualifying spot. An intermittent misfire during his last run, would see the Leicester based rider forced to start from a fifth row starting position for both races. With the declaration of a wet first race, the unseasonal weather once again threatened to spoil the show. Dean opted for slick tyres and put in a spirited performance, scoring two Championship points with a fourteenth placed finish.

Co-ordit Racing Head to Oulton
18 July 2008
The second half of the 2008 Bennetts British Superbike season begins in earnest for Co-ordit Racing at Oulton Park this weekend (18th-20th July). Round 7 sees the second visit of the season to the picturesque 2.69 mile Cheshire circuit. Co-ordit Racing’s Superbike rider, Dean Ellison will be looking to leave with points on the board rather than the injuries he suffered as an innocent victim back in May.The experienced rider was collected by Steve Mercer’s bike in the closing stages of the second race, scuppering any chance of points and setting the Leicester-based rider back a round through injury. Now, with a string of point-scoring results under his belt, Dean is eager to start moving towards the top ten and up the championship leader board.

Set-Up Not Quite Right for Dean Ellison
01 July 2008
Dean Ellison and his crew worked hard to find the optimum setup of his Co-ordit Yamaha R1 superbike - essential for the technically demanding 1.4 mile Leicestershire track which features a number of heavy braking points and slow chicanes (29th June). Keen to score points at his now local race, Dean safely negotiated the opening laps of race 1 determinedly setting his sights on places ahead. By half distance, the gaps were consistently reducing as Dean visibly reeled in the riders ahead. The tactics paid off two laps from home, as Dean moved through to fifteenth, then fourteenth. The destinctive yellow 118 bike crossed the line, gaining another two well deserved championship points and looking to improve for for race two.

Team Co-ordit Head to Mallory
26 June 2008
Co-ordit Racing heads to Mallory Park, Leicestershire, this weekend to contest the sixth round of the 2008 Bennetts British Superbike Championship (27-29 June). As one of the team’s local circuits, expectations will be high, as will local support, for Dean Ellison and Pete Bradshaw to show their mettle as they battle for points around the testing 1.41 mile circuit. Now based in Leicester, Mallory Park has become a local circuit for Dean Ellison, who makes his first visit to the circuit since 2006. Recovered from injury, Dean has set himself high targets ahead of the weekend and will use his world and domestic race experience to elevate his Co-ordit Racing Yamaha YZF-R1 into the top ten for the first time this season. With two long 30-lap races scheduled for Sunday, Dean will use the full potential of the Co-ordit Racing Yamaha’s power to challenge at the sharp-end.

Drama for Bevan at Brands!
13 May 2008
Keen to overcome the disappointment of his Oulton Park race last week, Co-ordit Superstock pilot Phil Bevan turned in a spirited performance to hold off a strong race-long challenge from Michael Elliott to finish fourteenth and collect his first two Championship points (11 May). Drama ensued from the start for Bevan as, starting deep in the pack, the Cardiff rider made a great start but was clipped by Alex Camier’s Kawasaki. Bevan escaped, unscathed but Camier and a number of other riders crashed bringing out the Safety Car and ultimately the Red Flag while riders were attended to and wreckage cleared from the track.

Bennetts BSB Pirelli Race Review Oulton Park
06 May 2008
In race 1 the drama engulfed the opening British Superbike race at Oulton Park. With rain spotting as the riders took their positions at the end of the sighting lap, the red flag brought a swift conclusion as a host of riders, including holeshot rider Tom Sykes, crashing at the first corner. A swift re-start ensued of the full 18-lap race distance. Sykes took the holeshot on his Rizla Suzuki again, stretching his lead to almost a second from Crutchlow’s HM Plant Honda by the culmination of the opening lap. Byrne, Haslam and Camier fought doggedly for third as Crutchlow took the lead with a classic manoeuvre at Lodge on lap 2.

17 April 2008
After the snow swept Brands Hatch, the CJ Riders Fund still had a very successful weekend at what was meant to be the opening round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship. Six inches of snow put a stop to the racing on Sunday, (6th April) and the meeting has now been rescheduled for May. The CJ Fund used the weekend to their advantage and had a practice run with their new CJ Unit, which worked perfectly and was situated in an ideal spot at Brands. The new CJ Promo Girls worked exceptionally hard throughout the weekend despite the freezing conditions, they still plugged away in their lycra suits collecting monies, look out for them at Thruxton!
