British Superstock Team Commit To Centenary TT

Speedfreak Racing are the latest team from the British Superbike paddock to commit to the Isle of Man TT Races. The Speedfreak team is headed up by Paul Shoesmith who has a wealth of racing experience behind him including working with James Whitham and Mick Grant. In 2007 he will be running a four man team in British Superstock and Superstock Cup as well as selected road races, focussing on the Centenary TT.

Riders Representative Appointed For Isle of Man TT Races

Former TT winner Richard ‘Milky’ Quayle has been appointed by the Department of Tourism and Leisure to act as Riders Representative for the 2006 Isle of Man TT Races. Richard retired from racing in 2003 bringing to an end a career which saw him win the TT in only his second year in 2002 as well as three Manx Grand Prix races and one Ulster Grand Prix. He was appointed to act as Rider Liaison Officer for the 2005 TT Races, and due to ongoing restructuring of the TT organisation, his role will change in terms of title and responsibilities.

TT '06' Is Must See TV!

Whilst tens of thousands of fans are expected to converge on the Isle of Man this June for the 2006 TT Races, millions more will tune in all around the world via their TV sets to see all the action as captured by on Island motorsport specialists Greenlight Television. The undoubted TV highlight will be the one hour programme to be shown on BBC Grandstand on Sunday the 11th of June at 1pm. Last year, this proved to be the third most watched bikesport programme on UK television, behind one single round of the Moto GP and World Superbike Championships respectively.

Fans of the Isle of Man TT races and motorcycle racing will have already noticed many positive changes the TT has recently undergone. Improvements in marshalling, circuit safety and rider recruitment is fast propelling the world famous event towards a bright new future. In turn, advertising for the event along with other promotions has also undergone a recent revamp and readers of many motorcycle-racing publications will already have spotted the eye-catching adverts for this year’s festival.

Moly Confirms Entry

The greatest sidecar driver ever to have graced the Mountain Course is back for more in 2006 with the news that Dave Molyneux has officially entered this year's Isle of Man TT Races. The Manxman, who already has a record 11 victories beside his name, lines up for the first time in the official HM Plant Honda colours and it would take a brave man to bet against him adding another brace to his collection this time around.
