Team Shift Motul Suzuki riders produced impressive performances in round six of the 2008 Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals in Murray Bridge, South Australia on Sunday with podium finishes and overall honours in the Under 19s class. Pro Open riders Luke Burkhart and Daryl Hurley were among the big movers of the weekend, finishing sixth and seventh in the opening Moto after slow starts. Burkhart moved even further up the order in Moto 2, running second on his Suzuki RM-Z450 before crashing heavily on Lap 13 and ending his race.

Team Shift Motul Suzuki's Daryl Hurley and Luke Burkhart endured frustrating weekends in round five of the 2008 Australian Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals at Wanneroo, Western Australia at the weekend. Hurley was an impressive third in qualifying on the sandy circuit aboard his Suzuki RM-Z450, as the team looked to bounce back from a disappointing home round in Newcastle a fortnight earlier.

Team Shift Motul Suzuki's Daryl Hurley collected more valuable points in the 2008 Australian Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals at the weekend, with a pair of third-place finishes in round three at Conondale in Queensland. Hurley's points haul sees the New Zealander remain within striking distance of the series lead, while team-mate Luke Burkhart pushed through the pain barrier to contest Moto 2 after a heavy crash in Moto 1. Again showing blistering speed on the fuel-injected Suzuki RM-Z450, Hurley headed a Team Shift Motul Suzuki 1-3 result in qualifying, with Burkhart a strong third. In each Moto, Hurley put in mature rides to finish third, banking valuable championship points in the process to consolidate his top-three position in the series.

Hurley Dominates in Tasmania

Team Shift Motul Suzuki's Daryl Hurley has opened his 2008 Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals account with a dominant display at round one in Tasmania, giving the new RM-Z450 a winning debut in the Southern Hemisphere's toughest off-road championship. The New Zealander took out the weekend's opening race in Penguin by 17 seconds and is sitting pretty atop the points table after the first of eight rounds.

Battling a severe head cold, Hurley delivered superb performances under difficult circumstances, making the holeshot in race one before being passed by series leader Daniel Reardon in the early stages of the moto.

Team Shift Motul Suzuki's Daryl Hurley took a small two-point step toward the lead of the 2007 Australian Motocross Championship in round six at Toowoomba Queensland at the weekend. RM-Z450-mounted Hurley closed down the points gap when series leader Daniel Reardon suffered poor results and is now well positioned for the title fight across the remaining four rounds. However he also had a difficult weekend by his high standards and finished fifth overall to shave two points off Reardon's series advantage.

Australian MX: Hurley Wins At Conondale

Team Shift Motul Suzuki rider Daryl Hurley scored his first race win in the 2007 Australian Motocross Championship at Conondale in Queensland today. One of only two riders to have scored race wins so far this season, Hurley today slashed his points deficit to series leader Daniel Reardon from 28 to 19 points with seven rounds remaining. Race one saw Hurley assume the lead as Reardon crashed out of contention in the opening stage of the 30-minute moto. He raced away into the distance, set the fastest lap of the moto aboard the RM-Z450 (2:31.906min) and crossed the finish line 27.588 seconds ahead of his nearest rival.

After qualifying strongly in third place, Hurley was fourth out of the gate in the first of two 30-minute motos and by the end of the opening lap had hustled his way into second place where he chased Daniel Reardon to the chequered flag.

Hurley Injured At Broadford

Daryl Hurley’s Australian Motocross championship defence ended in disaster at round eight of the 2006 Motocross Nationals in Broadford, Victoria at the weekend. After leading the Motocross Nationals Series from the first round, the Team Shift Motul Suzuki rider suffered a serious knee injury in race one. He was rushed to hospital in Melbourne and is yet to find out the extent of his injury which will determine if he is able to contest either of the remaining two rounds.

Australian Motocross Champion Daryl Hurley will contest the 2006 Supercross Masters Series aboard a four-stroke Suzuki RM-Z450 for the first time at Perth’s Claremont Showground this weekend. Supercross has traditionally been the domain of two-stroke machines, but Hurley joins the ranks of Pro Open riders who have traded their two-stroke machines for new four-strokes.
