The FIM Motocross World Championship promoter, and Clinica Mobile, the highly professional medical back-up squad for the competitors of the Motorcycle World Championships, have finally reached an agreement to improve the medical services in the MX1 and MX2 Grand Prix’s. Starting from the next Grand Prix in St. Jean d’Angely (France) on June 15, the Clinica Mobile will always send one of their talented doctors to the MX1 and MX2 events. The doctor will be available for the World Championship riders and will provide them with both on site assistance and further guidance after the riders have left the venue.
Dr Claudio Costa, a crucial member of the MotoGP community and a paddock personality since the 1970s, today got a first-hand taste of the performance of the latest MotoGP bikes. The Italian doctor, who runs the Clinica Mobile which looks after all aspects of riders' health, rode one lap of Catalunya aboard the Ducati Marlboro Team two-seater behind former GP winner Randy Mamola. Costa ended the outing with his hands trembling and described his ride with his usual philosopher's turn of phrase.
