Learning Curve for Tinmouth at Cadwell Park
4 Hours ago
Jenny Tinmouth had a challenging weekend aboard her Hollins Motorsport backed Honda CBR600RR, in round nine of the Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Cup at Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire on Bank Holiday Monday, eventually crashing out of the race whilst battling for position. The 2.18 mile technically and physically demanding circuit proved to be a real test for the Ellesmere Port rider, but after some adjustments to the suspension, she gained more confidence through the fast corners at Coppice and Charlie’s, and the quick left right flick through Hall Bends on the mountain section.

Edmondson Crowned King of the Hill
WOR Events ran something rather special on Saturday evening, as Berwyn Leisure Park, near Oswestry, played host to both the sixth round of the Putoline XC Championship series and a WOR Event on Sunday. However, Saturday evening saw an extraordinary hill-climb challenge, attempted by many but conquered by one Relentless Suzuki Enduro rider, Paul Edmondson. Set on a steep valley side, the course ran for approximately 750 metres on loose shale and grass, with virtually no run-up to the hill. A nasty kicker right at the start of the climb saw riders lose momentum and have to fight for every inch gained up the nigh-on impossible incline.

Plater Takes Win for AIM Yamaha at Cadwell
Yesterday
Steve Plater rode to a calculated win for AIM Yamaha in round nine of the Fuchs/Silkolene British Supersport championship at Cadwell Park on Bank Holiday Monday. But there was no luck for David Paton who was involved in a second corner crash on the first lap. The Woodhall Spa ace had plenty to smile as he celebrated his birthday with a race win and was presented with a bottle of champagne after being pronounced rider of the day by the Eurosport presenters. Plater had been on form throughout the weekend and held pole in final qualifying until the session was stopped because of a fire in the campsite which saw smoke billowing across the track along Park Straight. As the session continued Plater was caught out by a cold tyre and slid off at Barn Corner. Unable to improve his lap times he was relegated to third place for a front row start to Monday’s planned 16-lap race.

Laverty Consolidates Championship Position in BSB
2 Days ago
Michael Laverty consolidated his BSB Championship position at Cadwell Park yesterday with a brace of top ten results [8th & 9th]. The Toomebridge rider maintains ninth place in the series, only two points behind Simon Andrew with six races remaining. Ian Lowry showed true grit and determination at Cadwell Park, coming from a lowly qualifying position [16th] to eventually finish eighth on the tight and twisty Lincolnshire circuit in the Supersport class. Having crashed heavily during free practice at over 120mph, it was a brave effort from the battered and bruised 21-year-old. Aussie Cameron Donald joined Lowry in the sick bay at Cadwell with a stomach bug, but Cameron didn’t let it deter him, eventually finishing in 11th place. This was Cameron’s last race in the British Superstock Championship for 2008, as he returns to Melbourne on Monday.

Hegarty Fifth for Co-ordit in Henderson Cup
3 Days ago
The August Bank Holiday visit to the picturesque circuit of Cadwell Park proved a tough test for BSB newcomers Co-ordit Racing this weekend (23rd-25th August). The 2.18 mile Lincolnshire circuit is notorious for its compact and intimate nature, the track itself providing the narrowest strip of asphalt that the British Championship riders face each season. The tight, narrow and twisting characteristics provided a stiff challenge to team owner Pete Bradshaw and his mechanics to set up Dean Ellison’s Co-ordit Racing Yamaha YZF-R1 Superbikes.

Hydrex Bike Animal Honda rider Guy Martin bounced back to something like form with a pair of solid points scoring rides in front of another massive bank holiday crowd in round nine of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park. 22 August 2008
The HM Plant Honda team head to Cadwell Park this Bank Holiday weekend for round nine of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship. Co-ordit Racing - Cadwell Park Preview
22 August 2008
The demanding Lincolnshire circuit of Cadwell Park will provide the next test for BSB newcomers Co-ordit Racing this weekend (23-25 August). The 2.18 mile circuit has historically proved a firm favourite with both racers and fans over the years, who make the annual pilgrimage to the picturesque circuit. For spectators it offers the chance for close trackside proximity and the spectacle of riders literally ‘jumping’ the Mountain section. For riders, Cadwell Park is one of the most physically demanding tracks due to it’s tight, narrow and twisting characteristics that leave little room for error.
