Team Rockstar Makita Suzuki's Ryan Dungey has regained the lead in the AMA West Coast Supercross Lites class following his third victory of the season at Saturday's seventh round in San Diego, California. And in the Supercross class, team mate Chad Reed is now tied for the lead in the AMA/ FIM World Supercross series with Yamaha's James Stewart after his sixth-consecutive runner-up position to the Yamaha rider.

Reed Races to 2nd at Anaheim Supercross

Rockstar Makita Suzuki's Chad Reed raced back from a mediocre start to clinch second place at Saturday night's Anaheim Supercross in California and keep his AMA/ FIM Championship lead intact. The Australian took his fifth-straight second place to James Stewart (Yamaha), although his series lead has now been cut to just three points after six of 17 rounds.

Team Rockstar Makita's Chad Reed staged another amazing race from the back to finish second at Saturday's Houston Supercross after being squeezed out in the first corner. The reigning AMA/ FIM Supercross World Champion proved the pace of the RM-Z450 Suzuki - as he did last week at Anaheim when he came back from a crash - to finish second behind James Stewart (Yamaha) and keep his series lead intact by three points.

Chad Reed has taken the lead in the AMA/ World Supercross Championship after a, incredible charge from the back to second place at Saturday's third round at Anaheim, while Rockstar Makita Suzuki team mate Ryan Dungey increased his lead in West Coast Championship with victory in the Lites class. In the Supercross Main - held in front of 43,000 fans at Angel Stadium - Reed was knocked down to 20th place after a first-corner crash, but spent the remaining 19 laps carving his RM-Z450 through the pack, moving into second place on lap 18.

Grant Scores Debut Win in AMA Opener

Yamaha continued their streak of victories in the AMA Supercross Championship (also an FIM World Championship) as Joe Gibbs Racing Team's Josh Grant surprisingly took his YZ450F to first place at the opening round of seventeen in the 2009 campaign at Anaheim in Los Angeles last Saturday. 2008 champion Chad Reed clinched the last race of 2008 and Grant beat both the Australian, and pre-event favourite - and new Yamaha recruit - James Stewart to the chequered flag.

Teka Suzuki Men Take 'MX of Nations' Podium

The 2008 Motocross of Nations held at Donington Park in Great Britain proved to be quite successful for Teka Suzuki WMX1 riders Ken De Dycker and Steve Ramon as they both finished second overall in their respective classes - MX1 and Open - on their factory RM-Z450s as they headed Team Belgium to third overall in the final team classification. ?It was also a successful day for Italian team rider Alex Salvini who scored a very creditable fourth overall in the premier MX1 division and Cody Cooper who was fifth in the Open class for New Zealand.
