Racedays Announce Johnston, Day & McWilliams are to Join the Team

Northern Ireland's Lee Johnston, current BSB Superstock 600 championship leader, will be joining the Direct CCTV Racedays team to contest the remaining rounds of the 2008 European Superstock 600 championship. Lee has already tested with the team at Magny Cours where, despite unfavourable weather conditions, he impressed with his work rate and set- up abilities. Joining Lee for the remainder of the season is Florida racer Joshua Day. Josh has recently been competing in selected rounds of the AMA championship and at only 18 years of age he has already shown his talent with a top 10 Formula Extreme finish at Daytona. He will be one of only two USA riders competing in the World Superbike series.

Airwaves Ducati To Provide Interactive Pit Tours

As announced in late January the Airwaves Ducati team has signed Direct CCTV & Security Systems Ltd as an Official Technical Partner to the team for 2006. The Kent based company is a specialist in the design, installation and maintenance of the best bespoke security solutions for the commercial and domestic market.

Spy cameras to track the every move of drivers

According to an Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), a strategy document was leaked to the Sunday Times about a 24x7 national vehicle movement database that is now being built. It going to be able log everything on the UK's roads and retains the data for at least two years. The new system, which will use Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), will be overseen from a main control centre in Hendon, London. It is going to be like a 'Gatso 2' network, extending, enhancing and linking all existing CCTV, ANPR and speedcam systems and databases. Which perhaps explains why the egg heads in ACPO's tech section don't seem to have needed any kind of Parliamentary approval to begin the deployment of what promises to be one the most all-encompassing surveillance systems on our planet.
