BSM & Ducati UK Launch New Ducati Training School at Silverstone

If you always wanted to learn to ride a motorcycle then Ducati UK in association with BSM and Silverstone Race Circuit aim to make those dreams come true. This week the first pupils will attend the BSM Ducati Training school at Silverstone Race Circuit and bring the unmistakable sound of L-twin Ducati motorcycles to the home of British motorsport. From 4th August, BSM Ducati Rider Training at Silverstone will offer motorcycling novices the chance to learn to ride on one of the most iconic machines in motorcycling - a Ducati Monster 696.

Race Ace Crutchlow Passes Bike Test & Collects All-New CB1000R!

Honda’s race ace, Cal Crutchlow, passed his motorcycle test today – and then promptly collected his all-new Honda CB1000R, launched at dealers across the country today. The 22-year-old racer from Coventry, currently lying in second place in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship with the HM Plant Honda team, knew full well that now was the time to pass his motorcycle test before the Second European Driving Licence comes into effect from October.

BIKE looks at why your motorbike might not be the only thing that needs a bit of work before you head out on the roads this summer… With spring in full swing and summer fast approaching, motorcyclists are going to be covering twice as many miles between June and August as they do between December to February according to the UK Department for Transport’s Compendium of Motorcycle Statistics. The rate of new bike licensing for use on the road increases by 10% in the summer months.

New motorcyclists learn with BMW Motorrad

BMW Motorrad’s Rider Training facility is a new initiative for 2006 and includes a Direct Access programme for anyone aged 21 or over to obtain a full motorcycle licence. People with absolutely no motorcycling experience as well as those who have already obtained a CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) qualification are catered for in the range of courses available.

Learn to ride with the World of BMW

Learning to ride a motorcycle comes naturally to some and not so for others. Either way, it’s a good instructor who brings it all together and helps the pupil become a confident new motorcyclist. For 2006 the World of BMW will offer Rider Training including Direct Access courses for anyone over 21 to obtain their full motorcycle licence. Pupils with absolutely no motorcycling experience, right through to people who have already obtained a CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) are catered for in the range of courses available.
