Honda Racing has announced that Leon Haslam and Cal Crutchlow are to join the new-look HM Plant Honda team to compete in the 2008 British Superbike championship. Honda Racing and HM Plant have won the last two British Superbike titles with Japanese ace Ryuichi Kiyonari and now they’ve put together a team of two young British stars who will be going all-out for glory from the first race of the season next year.

Honda’s Sports Machines Savour All-Round Success

Honda’s class-leading sportsbikes, the CBR1000RR Fireblade and the CBR600RR have once again proved themselves the best machines for the roads by dominating this year’s Isle of Man TT races, while continuing to feature among the most popular sportsbikes with the road-going public. Last week, in the capable hands of John McGuinness, Honda’s CBR1000RR took wins in the Superbike and Senior races at the Centenary TT. In the Senior race, John and the Fireblade also netted the new lap record, setting a new best of 130.354mph! The CBR1000RR also filled the top six placings in the Superbike race and the top three in the Senior race, proving that the Fireblade is still the machine to beat on the roads.

Honda Announces a Model Change for the CBR1000RR Super Sports Model

The new CBR1000RR, which comes equipped with a water-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, in-line 4-cylinder, 1000cc engine featuring advanced technologies developed on the MotoGP circuit, the world pinnacle of motorcycle road racing goes on sale in Japan on Saturday, February 25, 2006.

Yoshimura has just released a new full racing slip-on end can for suitable a range of supersports machines, including the 2003/4/5/6 Honda CBR600RR and 2004/5 CBR100RR Fireblade. The above end-cans are now in stock with the UK Yoshimura importer Phoenix Distribution, with an RS5 end-can for the Kawasaki ZX636R due imminently.
