Dainese Announces 2008 TT Involvement

Dainese has today announced that the company has been appointed the ‘Official Safety Partner’ to the Isle of Man TT Races for 2008. As part of the significant deal, the TT’s two key Superbike races will be known as The Isle of Man Dainese Superbike Race and The Isle of Man Dainese Senior TT Race. The Italian company, which specialises in safety products for active sports enthusiasts was founded in 1972 by the current managing director, Mr Lino Dainese, who will be visiting the Isle of Man over the TT fortnight.

Very Successful Dinner for the CJ Fund - £20’000 Raised

The Chris Jones Annual Awards Dinner was deemed a huge success by all those that attended on Saturday night with around £20,000 being raised for this worthy cause. With nearly 500 guests on the evening it was a busy schedule and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. With compare for the evening being Trevor T who did a splendid job and who had everyone up dancing round the tables before the evening began, it was always set to be an entertaining night!

MV Back On The Pace On The Island At The TT 2007

MV Agusta returned to the Isle of Man in style, following a 35-year absence, as Martin Finnegan powered the Alpha Boilers’ 1000cc MV F4 to an impressive fourth place in the Pokerstars Superstock TT Race. In a race that was contested at a blistering pace - Bruce Anstey on the Suzuki shattered the lap record from a standing start and went quicker still on the second lap - only his Suzuki and Hondas of McGuinness and Hutchinson crossed the line ahead of the MV. Finnegan finished over a minute ahead of the fastest Yamaha, and nearly 7 minutes in front of the only other Italian motorcycle, an Aprilia.

Disappointing Finale For Foggy Petronas Racing In France

Foggy Petronas Racing’s final races in the Superbike World Championship ended in disappointment at Magny-Cours in France. Craig Jones finished a valiant 17th in the first race of the final round of the season but engine failures meant that neither he, nor team-mate Steve Martin, were able to complete race two.

With the Foggy Petronas World Superbike outfit destined to die a death at the end of the current season, Fogarty is seeking pastures new and has confirmed World and British Superbike options as well as interest in adding to the MotoGP field for 2007.

Fogarty Rides Yamaha Motocross!

Four times World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty has collected his weapon of choice for his assault on his local motocross scene; the all new aluminium framed Yamaha YZ250F. He plans on competing in local motocross events and selected 'Hare and Hounds' events on the machine that currently holds the World MX2 title. 'King Carl' collected the machine from one of Yamaha's Premier Dealers, Hockey Yamaha in Abergavenny, South Wales.

Second consecutive front row for Martin and FPR

Steve Martin will start from the front row of the grid for the second consecutive time on the PETRONAS FP1 after qualifying fourth for tomorrow’s Superbike World Championship third round races at Valencia, Spain. The stylish Australian was just a quarter of a second off the 1:34.992 pace set by fellow countryman Troy Corser, as Steve repeated his qualifying performance from the previous round at Phillip Island.
