Safety Focus for Bike Show Youth Day

Organised by the Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCIA), the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show’s annual Youth Day will see 700 young people between 14 and 17 years of age enjoying a great day out at the NEC on December 2nd – right in the middle of Britain’s premier bike show running from November 28th to December 7th. Youth Day is designed to engage young people in road safety, and this year takes on extra significance. The costs of motoring, including high insurance and fuel prices, are seeing increasing numbers of teenagers taking to the roads on scooters, mopeds and small-engined motorcycles. Moped and scooter sales are up by 10.8 per cent and 5.3 per cent respectively this year.

BSM & Ducati UK Launch New Ducati Training School at Silverstone

If you always wanted to learn to ride a motorcycle then Ducati UK in association with BSM and Silverstone Race Circuit aim to make those dreams come true. This week the first pupils will attend the BSM Ducati Training school at Silverstone Race Circuit and bring the unmistakable sound of L-twin Ducati motorcycles to the home of British motorsport. From 4th August, BSM Ducati Rider Training at Silverstone will offer motorcycling novices the chance to learn to ride on one of the most iconic machines in motorcycling - a Ducati Monster 696.

Launch BSM Training Scheme With £99 Insurance Offer

Suzuki GB and the British School of Motoring have joined forces to launch a dedicated Suzuki training scheme that will see successful participants not only gain a full motorcycle licence, but also qualify for a special £99 insurance offer on selected brand new Suzuki machines. Running from BSM’s dedicated training facility in Birmingham, the new scheme offers non-licence holders an intensive six-day training course that takes riders from compulsory basic training through to their direct access test, on-board a selection of Suzuki motorcycles.

Learn to ride with Triumph and BSM

Triumph Motorcycles and BSM announced a new partnership to help budding riders get on the open road. Triumph, the iconic British motorbike manufacturer, now offers the ‘Kick Start’ course that includes everything a new rider needs to safely experience the elemental fun of riding. Candidates will learn to ride on a Triumph Bonneville, in Triumph protective gear, with tuition taking place at BSM’s excellent training facilities in Birmingham. As their confidence grows they will take a guided ride to the high-tech Triumph factory in Hinckley, Leicestershire. Candidates will leave with an unrivalled insight into one of the most advanced motorcycle production facilities in the world, and a feeling for the passion that goes into every bike.
