Relentless Suzuki has added 27-year-old Dennis Hobbs to their racing stable for this season’s British championship campaign. The Englishman will contest the Metzeler 1000cc Superstock class on a GSX–R1000 Suzuki, defending the title Alastair Seeley won for the County Tyrone team in 2009.
Team Blackhorse Yamaha are pleased to announce that they have secured the services of Conor Cummins to compete on their R1 Superstock machine in next year's BSB 1000cc Superstock Championship. The foundations for the deal were laid at the end of the 2008 series when the 22 year old Manxman raced for the team in the final two rounds at Silverstone and Brands Hatch where he posted strong ninth and twelfth place finishes respectively, in what for Conor was a 'getting to know you' period with Team Blackhorse Yamaha and their R1 Superstock machine.
Australian ‘wild card’ rider Brendan Roberts finished on top at the end of the first qualifying for this weekend’s Suzuki GSX- R European Cup third round at Silverstone. Roberts, who is leading the British Superstock 1000 championship, adapted to his GSX-R750 Suzuki almost straight away and finished ahead of series leader Xavier Simeon. Third quickest today was another ‘wild card’ Tommy Bridewell, with Magnus Houston fourth.
