Thompson Flys Flag for Team Appleyard/Macadam

Seventeen year old Jordan Thompson maintained the honour of Team Appleyard/Macadam this weekend at the eighth round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Knockhill in Scotland as he scored yet more points in his Championship campaign. In an otherwise challenging weekend for the team, Jordan performed strongly throughout the weather-affected practice and qualifying sessions for the Relentless British 125GP Championship race, eventually posting the 10th quickest time. With the race held during one of the rare dry spells, the Cheshire rider started well and enjoyed a good race dicing with two other riders for top ten positions and brought his bike home in eleventh place earning five valuable Championship points.

Michael Hill - TABOO Motorsport - BSB Round 2 - Review

The second round of the 2007 British 125cc Championship was held yesterday at the Thruxton circuit in Hampshire. With the crowds in excess of 30,000 and the temperature will into the 20’s Michael Hill battled his TABOO Motorsport / Banks Racing Honda to superb 10th position. Having finished 19th in the season’s opening event the previous week, 25 year old Michael was optimistic about his chances after the first practice session held on Friday.

Kiyonari To Defend Crown – Haslam And Lavilla Committed

Ryuichi Kiyonari was crowned Bennetts British Superbike Champion in front of packed audience at the International Motorcycle Show and the HM Plant Honda rider confirmed that he will be back to defend his hard earned title in 2007. And, his main rivals from the past season, Leon Haslam and Gregorio Lavilla, who eased Airwaves Ducati title as they finished just behind the Japanese rider in the standings revealed that they will be back for more next year.

MIchael Hill & Riders for Health – ‘Dia De Campeones’

British 125cc racer Michael Hill continued his work for the riders for health charity at the Ricardo Tormo circuit on Thursday ahead of the final round of the Moto GP world championship. Having supported the charity since taking up the sport, Michael once again took to the stage (having previously hosted the main stage on the Friday and Saturday at this years British Moto GP) joining resident Spanish host Cesc Vila for a day in which Spanish fans helped Riders for Health raise in excess of 70,000 euros.

Hill's Off To Spain

The season may be over for Norton's Michael Hill, but the 125 rider (who now lives in London) will head off to Spain later this month to host a charity event as part of the final Moto GP at Valencia, Spain. The 23-year-old, who is currently mixing his racing with presenting and broadcasting, has been asked to assist on stage at the Day of Champions at the final round in two weeks' time, and he hopes it will help to continue to boost his profile as he aims to expand his own team, Taboo Motorsport.

Anthony Rogers Wins Spanish Race Dates

Anthony Rogers is the latest upcoming British motorcycle racer to benefit from a scholarship ride, funded by Dorna, the commercial rights holders to the World MotoGP and the Bennetts British Superbike Championships, to race in the final two rounds of the Spanish 125cc Championship. The 16 year old from Smallburgh, near Norwich, has impressed Dorna executives with a series of strong performances in the ACU Academy Cup, which is in effect a championship within the main British 125GP Championship.

Strenuous Silverstone for Michael Hill!

Every race team suffers a tough weekend at some point in the season, and for Michael Hill and his TABOO Motorsport / KMS squad Silverstone was it, with Hill finishing the British 125GP race in a penalised 19th. The problems started in second free practice when Hill’s rear sprocket bearing disintegrated locking up his rear wheel into the fast Copse corner.

We Have Had 2 Meetings With Fantastic Promise And No Pay Off!

Superstock at Snetterton we had a tough fight in qualifying where Brogan and Allan set off together with Marsha Neil between them for there fast lap all 3 slipstreamed together for the lap – Neil went Pole, Brogan 2nd 0.016 behind, Steve Allan lost 2/10th and ended up 14th with Lee in 13th. The Televised race saw Brogan doing a fantastic job at the front but the top speed of the opposition frustrated him into braking much later boiling his brakes and costing him the result. Allan went out with clutch failure and Lee went for a too soft front suspension costing him 7th but bringing it home in 10th, solid points.

Wet Weather Halts Michael Hill’s Progress

The fifth round of the British 125GP Championship at Mondello Park had to be cancelled due to persistent, heavy rain making the race track unsafe to race on. Michael Hill and his TABOO Motorsport team were disappointed at not being able to race as they had made progress over the weekend and had hoped to score more points.

Nvidia Team News 4th Race At Oulton Park

The whole Team were pleased to welcome Manchester United and England football player and Team supporter, Allan Smith his family and friend to the British race scene. Allan and his Dad have a great passion for motorcycles and have even visited the Yamaha factory in Japan. We left Thruxton with the pleasant surprise of Steve Brogan on the podium moving in to second place and now laying 3rd over all in the series and Jon Boy and Steve A both in the points. Thruxton had shown some need for improvement in chassis set-up and Air filter performance, so we headed off to Oulton with Brogie for the BSB test.

Leaving Brands after such great promise with so much damage and Lisa failing to qualify did have us with heads hanging. We had so much to due in a very short time, The technical sponsors pulled out all the stops to help. Mick and the boys at MB coach Works and Chase accident repair sorted the paint, Leo Vinci the exhaust, SES race products foot rest and fairing hangers and burning the midnight oil Andy and Gary with help from everyone else pulled it together for Donington.
