CAS Honda rider Ken De Dycker raced to fifth position in the Italian Grand Prix despite a second moto crash at a dry and sunny Montevarchi circuit. Martin Honda rider Javier Garcia Vico obtained sixth overall which constituted his highest GP finish in more than two years.
A hot Grand Prix of Japan saw CAS Honda rider Ken de Dycker claim his debut MX1 podium with third place in front of 17, 400 fans at the Sugo circuit. The fifth round of the World Championship was won by a dominant Stefan Everts who retains a 100% record in the class but Honda were able to toast their first silverware of the season.
Under blue skies and warm sunshine CAS Honda's Ken De Dycker scored 4th position at the Karcher Grand Prix of Germany at the fourth round of the FIM 2006 Motocross World Championships. The Belgian has accumulated 6th, 5th and two 4th positions in the first four stops of the Grand Prix campaign and overcame his dislike of the fast and rough Talkessel circuit as well as a pair of poor starts in the two races to run again with the protagonists.
The Grand Prix of Portugal at the Agueda circuit, over 100km south of the city of Porto, was won by Stefan Everts in sunny conditions and in front of 15,500 fans. CAS Honda rider Ken De Dycker was able to post results of third and fifth in the two motos for an overall placing of 4th in the third round of fifteen in the 2006 FIM MX1 World Championship.
