BMW is celebrating 30 years of the iconic ‘Gelande-Strasse’ (GS) in 2010. To mark the occasion, BMW Motorrad UK has teamed up with Simon Pavey and the BMW Off Road Skills School to host the BMW Motorrad GS Trophy UK Qualifier; a unique sporting challenge which will culminate with three amateur British riders being selected to represent the UK at the International GS Trophy Finals in November 2010.

BMW Announces the UK Price for the S 1000 RR

BMW Motorrad has announced that the UK price for the S 1000 RR will be an extremely competitive £10,950 (inc 15% VAT) OTR for the standard model. The S 1000 RR will also be available in a ‘Sport’ specification costing £12,235 OTR. The stunning and eagerly anticipated addition to the supersport sector can be ordered from BMW Motorrad for delivery from mid-January 2010.

For a racy look this season, be one of the first to get kitted out with BMW’s brand new Carbon Enduro helmet, a recent addition to BMW’s sporty range of Rider Equipment.
Weighing just 1,070 grams for a small shell and 1,170 grams for a large, it is the lightest enduro helmet on the market. Its ultra low weight is due to a carbon and arimide outer shell and a single plastic inner shell. For optimum safety, the helmet has neck straps integrated in the chin straps which prevent the helmet from twisting.
