World’s Oldest Motorcycle Racing Club Celebrates 100th Anniversary

The British Motorcycle Racing Club (BMCRC) will celebrate its 100th anniversary at Brands Hatch next weekend (18/19 April) with a centennial race meeting featuring a mixture of historic motorcycles and modern racing categories.

BMCRC Centenary Meeting 18th-19th April @ Brands

The British Motorcycle Racing Club announces the final content for its Centennial meeting. The weekend of 18-19 April 2009 corresponds with the very first BMCRC meeting which took place at the Brooklands circuit in Surrey on the 18th April 1909. The Brands Hatch Indy circuit has been booked for the weekend and it’s hoped that many club members will become involved both past and present. The schedule will be for club championship racing amalgamated with nostalgia, including Historic/Classic races, parades and special events.

Bemsee Announce Over £100,000 Worth of Sponsorship for it's 100th Anniversary in 09!

Londonbikers.com and Motoprofessional.com continue to show their ongoing cultivation of grass roots racing in the form of support for the oldest motorcycle club in the world. South Eastern-based Bemsee ("BMCRC") celebrate their 100th year in 2009 and to match that, they have secured a sponsorship package for their club worth over £100k!! The Club has worked to introduce or improve sponsorship packages for as many of the 2009 Classes as possible. In the tough economic climate, all sponsors that are prepared to help in anyway are of great value to the Club, the sport and in particular, the riders. Any support we can generate is directed straight to our riders, it never goes to the Club’s bottom line. We are hugely grateful to all the sponsors who have declared their intentions at this stage for the 2009 BMCRC Centenary Season…

Intrerested in Racing? Learn how with LB and BEMSEE at Brands Hatch

In partnership with the British MotorCycle Racing Club (BMCRC/“Bemsee”), Londonbikers.com and Motoprofessional.com are pleased to support an open evening at the Kentagon bar at Brands Hatch racing circuit, just off the M25 in Kent. This will take place on 11th December. This event is the first step into getting you into the wonderful world of amateur racing. Bemsee are here to help get you started and to help you in the future. On the evening you’ll be able to ask all the questions you have ever wanted to ask as a Rookie, for example, about applying for your licence, what happens on race day, preparing your bike and getting practice in before the season starts. You can start the process there as we’ll have ACU licence forms available, an ophthalmologist to get your eye test sorted and you’ll be able to apply for the next intro event, the BMCRC Schoolday.
