Leok Crowns Best Season With Fourth Podium

Kawasaki Racing Team’s Tanel Leok, overcome his recent run of mediocre results to bounce back at the final round of the World Championship and end his season on a high note, the Estonian Express confirmed his fifth position in the world rankings after finishing second overall at the Grand Prix of France Sunday, the final race of the fifteen round world series.

Tough Weekend For Kawasaki Racing Team In Ulster

The final count down to the FIM World Championship started at Desertmartin in Northern Ireland over the weekend, it proved to be a tough test for the Kawasaki pairing of Tanel Leok and Bas Verhoeven and they both struggled to come to terms with the rough and demanding red sands of Ulster. Heavy rain throughout the weekend made the beautiful red sand hard packed and the going was tough with lap times getting slower for almost the entire field.

Difficult Day For Kawasaki & Leok At The Citadelle

Kawasaki Racing Team’s Tanel Leok suffered his most disappointing day of the 2006 World Motocross Championship so far, the Belgian based Estonian was taken out in his opening race at the Citadelle circuit in Namur on Sunday, badly bruised after a race one crash he struggled to come to terms with the demanding hillside circuit at his ‘home GP’. Unfamiliar with the race lines he finished 11th in race two with a total points accumulation of only ten points, he has now slipped to fifth position in the classific.

Kawasaki Racing Team’s Tanel Leok suffered a frustrating weekend at the Grand Prix of Sweden on Sunday, the twenty year old Estonian slipped from a podium finishing position in race one to fifth position after suffering the effects of racing under a blazing hot sun and high temperatures sapped his strength as he battled to stay in contention for the prestigious MX1 World Motocross Championship title.
