Mat Mladin Wins Road America 2nd Leg

Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing's Mat Mladin captured the win in the second of two AMA Superbike races at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, on Sunday. In spite of semi-wet conditions, six-time AMA Superbike Champion Mladin rode hard on his Rockstar Makita Suzuki GSXR-1000 and picked up his fourth win of the season and his 67th career AMA Superbike victory.

Record Breaking Win For Spies

Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing's Ben Spies won Saturday's AMA Superbike race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, which was a record breaking seventh AMA Superbike wins on the trot! The two-time AMA Superbike Champion was the pole-sitter in this race, the first of two in the double-header weekend, and led all 16 laps to victory on his Rockstar Makita Suzuki GSX-R1000. In addition to this being Spies' seventh win of the season, it also marks his 25th AMA Superbike career win.

Ben Spies Wins Utah Superbike Double For Suzuki

Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing's Ben Spies celebrated the end of an excellent AMA Superbike double-header weekend at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah on Sunday with a double victory for the GSX-R1000. The defending AMA Superbike Champion won Sunday's 14-lap race, after having already won Saturday's race - and capturing pole position for the weekend.

The AMA Superbike Championship will share the stage with an FIM world championship event for the first of two times this season on May 29-June 1 at Miller Motorsports Park, in Tooele, Utah. The unique four-day program will mark the first time in four years that the AMA Superbike series has run in conjunction with the Superbike World Championship, which is making its much-anticipated return trip to America with a first-ever trip to Utah.

Spies heads Suzuki One-Two again

Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing continued to dominate in the AMA Superbike race series as defending AMA Superbike Champion Ben Spies and six-time AMA Superbike Champion Mat Mladin again finished first and second in the second AMA Superbike race of the weekend at Infineon Raceway in California on Sunday afternoon. Two-time AMA Superbike Champion started from pole position and led all 28 laps of the race to take the win. This victory is Spies' fourth consecutive AMA Superbike win of the season and his 22nd career victory. Team mate Mladin was right on Spies' tail for the entire race and brought home second place.

Suzuki One-Two At Sonoma

Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing's Ben Spies captured his third consecutive AMA Superbike victory of the season at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California on Saturday afternoon. The 28-lap race - the first of two in the double-header weekend - saw Spies start from the pole position and take over the lead on the first lap. He went on to lead all the laps and take the win. Additionally, this weekend's pole position is Spies' third consecutive at Infineon; his second of the year; and his 18th career pole position. Securing this one makes him tied for second for all-time career AMA Superbike pole positions.

Pietri Leads at Fontana & Finishes 4th in Superstock

Team Roadracingworld.com Suzuki backed up their first-ever AMA Superstock podium finish a week earlier at Barber Motorsports Park with another tremendous showing this weekend at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. Robertino Pietri scored his best finish of the season and equaled the best of his AMA career by finishing fourth in the AMA Superstock race aboard his Pirelli-shod GSX-R1000. Meanwhile, teammate Chris Ulrich fought up from outside the top ten to take seventh in the race and hold down third in the 2008 points race.

Yoshimura Suzuki's Ben Spies has won the 2007 AMA Superbike Championship from team mate Mat Mladin at Sunday's final round at Laguna Seca in California as Suzuki GSX-R1000s swept the first three places - and dominated the entire series. The Texan rider, defending his first title, beat the six-time champion after sitting behind the Australian for most of the 28-lap race, winning the title by just over two seconds after slowing on the final lap to celebrate to his fans.

Spies Wins Superstock Title

Yoshimura Suzuki's Ben Spies clinched the 2007 AMA Superstock Championship after winning the penultimate race of the season at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia on Sunday. With one round of AMA Superstock remaining, Spies and his Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 went for the win even though he only had to finish in sixth place or better to take the title. With this win, Spies lays claim to seven of eight races so far this year. Additionally, defending AMA Superbike Champion Spies won pole position for this race, his sixth of the season.

Yoshimura Suzuki's Mat Mladin broke his own record for the most AMA Superbike wins in a single season by picking up his 12th victory at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia on Sunday. It was Mladin's sixth AMA Superbike race win in a row as well as his 63rd career victory in the class which gave the six-time AMA Superbike Champion command of the AMA Superbike points chase going into the series' final round at Laguna Seca later this month. Team mate and defending AMA Superbike Champion Ben Spies followed Mladin home in second place while Tommy Hayden finished in seventh place.

Suzuki Sweeps Alton 2nd Race

Sunday afternoon's AMA Superbike race at Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia was all about Suzuki as the manufacturer swept the podium with Yoshimura Suzuki's Mat Mladin and Ben Spies taking first and second place and Michael Jordan Motorsports Suzuki's Aaron Yates rounding out the podium in third place. This marks the third podium sweep for Suzuki this year. Mladin's and Spies' Yoshimura Suzuki team mate Tommy Hayden carded a strong fifth-place finish.

Mladin Wins At Mid-Ohio

Yoshimura Suzuki's Mat Mladin overcame inclement weather and an all-day rain delay to win Sunday's AMA Superbike race and therefore sweep both AMA Superbike races of the weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. This is the second Mid-Ohio win for six-time AMA Superbike Champion Mladin and it's his eighth win at the Lexington circuit. Additionally, this win is Mladin's eighth of the 2007 season and his 59th career AMA Superbike victory.
