The hot temperature of the Spanish week end caused many problems to the Husqvarna CH Racing Supermoto Team at the Alcarras GP. In S2 class, Gerald Delepine's bad start in race 1 penalized the rider right from the beginning. Gerald then immediately start his run towards the first positions, but he fell and then was forced to leave the race because of technical problems occurred to his SMR 660.
KTM factory rider Bernd Hiemer rode a 4-5 result on Sunday for overall fifth place in Alcarras, Lleida, Spain in the S1 Supermoto Grand Prix on a brand new circuit that demanded more from road racing skills than offroad. "It was a very tough day for us," Hiemer said after the race. "It was tremendously hot and it was definitely more a road racing course than for motocross skills. The normal average speed is around 60-70 kmh, but today it was more near 100kmh.
