Ventura’s latest luggage systems demonstrate the versatility of their design across a wide range of applications. From full-on sports bikes, such as the BUELL 1125R, through to streetfighters like KTM’s 690 Duke (2008) to adventure sport machines including the Honda XLV700V8 Transalp, Ventura has a pack system to fit.

As designers produce motorcycles in ever more complex and radical shapes, it is becoming increasingly difficult to fit conventional soft luggage, as there are no suitable locations for tank bags, tail packs and panniers to sit securely.

Based around two discreet L-brackets that are custom-made for each model of motorcycle, Ventura offers a hassle free and perfect fit every time. When luggage needs to be carried the Pack Rack slots into the L-brackets and then one of the specially designed bike packs slides onto the rack.

This design carries the bike-pack above the pillion seat, leaving the area around the rear wheel completely clear. Massive extra carrying capacity is created – from 35 to 102 litres depending on pack choice - and the central position won’t upset the balance of the machine. Since the packs are supported by a metal frame they are rock steady at speed too (independently tested at over 180mph) and both pack and rack can be stripped off in seconds. If no luggage is required, the Pack and Rack can be removed in less than a minute and replaced with a Grab Handle (£19.99) or Sport Rack (£38.99).

The systems pictured in the accompanying gallery feature L-brackets (£89.99), Pack-Rack (£43.98) and 51-litre capacity Spada Pack, (black, red or blue at £99.99).

Total cost = £233.96.
