KTM and Randy Krummenacher's management have reached a mutual agreement to allow the young Swiss rider to take a rest and recuperation break during the coming two races in the 125 cc Grand Prix programme.

Krummenacher will therefore not contest the next two races in Indianapolis, USA and Motegi, Japan and instead will return to the KTM factory team stable for the race at Philip Island, Australia. He will also be at the start for the two final GPs of the season at Sepang, Malaysia and Valencia, Spain.

The Swiss rider suffered a ruptured spleen in a mountain bike accident near his home in Zurich at the beginning of the season. The resulting emergency surgery and the pressures of racing have exacted a heavy toll on Krummenacher's health and resistance and the two-race break is an attempt to help him get back in form and on track for future racing.

KTM will field a replacement rider for the two races that Krummenacher will not contest. Although no final decision has been reached, German rookie Jonas Folger of the Red Bull MotoGP Academy is under consideration to ride in his place.

KTM Racing and the entire KTM Factory Team wish Randy a full and successful recovery.
