GOOD RESULTS FOR HUSQVARNA MX3 RIDERS:The penultimate round of the MX3 World Championship was held on the beautiful track of Roggenburg, Switzerland. Husqvarna riders Christophe Martin and Thomas Allier performed well, but for Martin especially it could have been even more successful. Christophe finished the day 4th overall, after taking 4th place in race 1 and 5th in race two but could have finished higher in race two if he hadn’t unfortunately clashed with his Husqvarna teammate. Allier finished on 6th position overall, proving to be fast, but not consistent with his riding. The Husky duo has already conquered the 3rd and 4th championship positions with only one race to go. The final race of 2008 MX3 season will be held next weekend in Germany and Martin may also look to move up the standings as the French rider is only at 20 points fr om second overall placed Italian Cristian Beggi.
SUPERMOTO ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP IS OVER: The last Italian Supermoto Championship round was held on Busca circuit, close to Cuneo. The three Husqvarna musketeers performed brilliantly, securing results that took them on in final classification. S2 class rider and 2007 World Champion Adrien Chareyre rode an awesome race and battled for the entire weekend with his number one rival Davide Gozzini. Adrien was first in race 1, while in race 2 was passed by superfast Gerald Delepine who started from 6th place and worked his way through the field to take victory. Gera ld won the race, while teammate Adrien won the international classification reserved for foreign riders who took part in the championship. Adrien’s brother Thomas performed a clean race and finished in both heats on 3rd place. The French rider got also the 3rd position in the international classification. Gerald, Adrien and Thomas will be back to Busca in one month to take part to the Alpi del Mare Supermoto GP scheduled for October 5th.
GUILLAUME CELEBRATES WITH FRANCE ISDE CONQUEST:Seb Guillaume is doing great. After a 6-day battle in Serres, Greece, where the International Six Days Enduro was held, the French rider contributed to the conquest of the title by France on his Husqvarna WR 300. Seb headed the E3 class for most of the week, but unfortunately, a mistake on Friday morning, immediately at test 1, penalized the rider who finished second overall at the end of the race. A good result also for Bartosz Oblucki who represented Poland and finished 6th overall in the E3 class. In the manufacturer classification, Husqvarna finished 3rd overall behind KTM and Honda. Now both Guillaume and Oblucki are flying back to their home countries to continue their training programme before the next WEC GP to be held in Italy at the end of September.
A RAINY KENNY FESTIVAL:Every year the Kenny Festival, a French off road event organized at the Motocross circuit in Regades, hosts more than 1000 riders for an intense and spectacular weekend. This year an estimated 1500 riders from all across France arrived to have some fun and race together. Husqvarna was present thanks to the French Importer SIMA who organized the Husqvarna Motocross Challenge in which 30 riders battled for the podium. For the occasion, Husqvarna also displayed for the very first time the CR125 2009. The new two-stroke MX bike has an all new chassis and revised engine, to give the young riders a fantastic motorcycle to enter into the motocross world. The CR125 will also be one of the main attractions of the next Motocross MX1-2 World Championship GP in which 2008 and 2009 Husqvarna rider Antoine Meo will make a special appearance and race on a 125 among the biggest names of Motcross’ formula 1.
