Roggenburg will held the events for the FIM MX3 World Championship and EMX2 European Championships this end of the weekend. While the new EMX2 European Champion is already known, we are still waiting for the new MX3 World Champion.
In the EMX2 European Championship eighteen years old KTM rider Valentin Teillet from France clinched his European Title at the previous event in Denmark. He had the incredible season. In the twelve events he was standing on the podium ten times. He got six wins, three second positions, once he was third. There are two more events till the season will finished, but his advantage is already unbelievable 121 points. Regardless of his advantage, Teillet will not miss the opporunity to get two more victories. He will compete also this weekend in Switzerland and at the last event in Germany, where we will confirm his Title.
The situation till the fourth position it is not so clear. Two French and one Danish riders are in the game for the European Vice-Champion Title: Loic Rombaut (Kawasaki) with 346 points, Nikolaj Larsen (Suzuki) and Loic Larrieu (Kawasaki), both with 342 points. All of them are in the good shape and in Switzerland there will be strained battles for the final Championship Podium.
In the FIM MX3 World Championship Classification there is the completely different situation between the first three riders. There are three riders with different bikes, nationalities and teams fighting to become number one. Belgian rider Sven Breugelmans (KTM JM Racing Team), Italian Cristian Beggi (Honda Martin Racing) and French Christophe Martin (Husqvarna Factory) will be the main riders at the last two events.
In Switzerland there will start one of their last battles for the Championship Title. The advantage of the leading Breugelmans is 21 points. If he will repeate his reliable riding from the last two events, it will be difficult to prevent his way to the Title. But it is still nothing lost for Beggi and Martin. The race track in Switzerland it is not the same as there were in Finland and Denmark, where Breugelmans was dominating. The statistic of the top three riders it is interesting. Till now Breugelmans has collected eight podiums with five wins, second rider Beggi has five podiums with three wins and Martin has six podiums with one win. However, the last two events will be important for all of them. They are in the good form, but this time the main factors will be also good nerves and some sports luck.
