Prior to this weekend’s BSB round at Knockhill in Fife, Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing is please to announce the signing of Aussie sensation Cameron Donald for the 2009 season. Donald, a double winner at this year’s Isle of Man TT, has shown early commitment to Relentless Suzuki and TAS Racing, putting pen to paper earlier today.

On the BSB front, Cameron will campaign his GSXR1000 Relentless Suzuki Superstock machine this weekend at Knockhill and also at Cadwell Park before returning to Australia in early September.

He will also take in next week¹s Ulster Grand Prix Bike Week before meeting up with the team in November to ride the Macau Grand Prix on a GSXR1000 Relentless Suzuki Superbike.

Cameron Donald

“Last year I felt very privileged and excited to be joining Relentless Suzuki. It has been a fantastic experience and I have to be honest and say we have exceeded the results that I expected in my first year; I will be looking to build on that again in 2009. I have formed a great relationship with the team and our sponsors; I’ve also become very friendly with a lot of the crew. Philip and Hector have been great to work for and Philip’s input this season has really shown in my results. A big shout must also go to Relentless and Suzuki who have shown great enthusiasm, which really inspired me this season. Hopefully we can finish on a high with some top British Superstock results and a solid Ulster Grand Prix next week.”

Philip Neill Team Manager

“It has been an absolute pleasure working with Cameron this year and to have achieved the success we have, makes all the hard work and long hours well worth it. He has been a great ambassador not only for TAS Racing, but more so for Suzuki and Relentless. We are already looking forward to 2009 where Cameron will be joining us for a longer stay, as we plan to start pre-season testing that bit earlier with the all-new K9 GSXR1000 Suzuki. Our main goals will again be to excel at the three international road races, but we have also planned a slightly bigger BSB role for Cameron in 2009. Details on this will be announced in the coming weeks.”

This weekend will also see Michael Laverty and Ian Lowry back in action in the British Superbike and Supersport classes respectively, and with Cameron making his Knockhill debut, the three-pronged attack will keep the Moneymore based team pretty busy in Bonny Scotland!
