French rider Loic Larrieu (Kawasaki) got pole position before tomorrow's tenth event for the EMX2 European Championship in Slovakia.
Larrieu (Kawasaki) had a heavy crash a month ago at the Championship's event in France, sustaining a serious shoulder injury, but he has a battled on and decided to finish the season. At the moment Larrieu is running well in the Championship Classification in second position.
The winner of the Qualifying group A was another French Kawasaki rider, Loic Rombaut. He said: "The race track is very short. There were many holes and bumps after the practices, so it was not very easy to ride in the Qualifying practice. I had a good feeling. For the race I hope I will make a good start and a good result."
The leader of the EMX2 European Championship Classification, Valentin Teillet (KTM) had a bad crash on one of the jumps and injured his wrist. Teillet said: "I like the race track, the only thing is, that it is too short. The ground is very hard and similar to the our grounds in France. I crashed while I was trying to make a fast lap, after the crash I could not continue with the Qualifications. It is difficult to say anything for tomorrow, at the moment I have a pain in the wrist and I can not move it as I should. He had the sixth best time.
Third was Italian rider Marco Maddii (KTM), fourth was French Cedric Soubeyras (Yamaha) and the fifth fastest was Nikolaj Larsen (Suzuki) from Denmark.
