Rizla Suzuki’s Tom Sykes and triple British Superbike Champion John Reynolds put on a superb display at Goodwood last weekend, to entertain the sell out crowd.
Aboard his Rizla Suzuki British Superbike GSX-R1000, Sykes wowed race fans by carrying out a series of rolling burnouts and wheelies. Reynolds was reunited with his 2004 Championship winning bike and proceeded to put it through its paces much to the delight of the crowd.
Sykes and Reynolds then swapped machines and continued their entertaining runs up Goodwood hill. Reynolds admitted he was thoroughly impressed with the current Rizla Suzuki race bike.
There was a vast array of motorcycling stars both past and present as well as former Rizla and Crescent Suzuki riders. Terry Rymer, James Haydon, Cal Crutchlow, Scott Smart and Yukio Kagayama were all there - it was a veritable old-school reunion.
Current Formula One leader, Lewis Hamilton, shook hands with all the riders and was particularly impressed with Sykes’s Rizla Suzuki race bike.
Martyn James, Director of Crescent Motorcycle Co said: “It was an excellent weekend. The Rizla Suzuki riders did themselves and their team proud. The crowds really appreciated the effort that both Tom and John put into their performances for them. I think the high point of the event was Lewis Hamilton’s comment when he came over the meet Tom, he said he would love to have a ride on the Rizla Suzuki. That made everyone’s day.”
The Rizla Suzuki race team will be back in action this coming weekend at Oulton Park for round seven of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship. For further updates on the Rizla Suzuki team please visit
