Rizla and Crescent Suzuki are preparing to rev up the crowds at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed which will be held this weekend at Chichester in West Sussex.
Rizla Suzuki’s current BSB contender, Tom Sykes, will be wowing the fans with his GSX-R1000 race bike as he takes to the famous Goodwood Hill climb. Also on hand to entertain the crowd is triple British Superbike Champion, John Reynolds, who will be reunited with his 2004 Championship winning machine and the all important number one plate.
Another machine of interest, which will be ridden by Martyn James, Director of Crescent Motorcycle Co, is the 2000 factory Suzuki GSX-R 750. This is the bike which was ridden by Chris Walker in 2000 when he famously battled all season long with Neil Hodgson only to lose the Championship at the very last round.
The Rizla Suzuki squad is happy to be included in this exclusive event which it has attended previously in 2003, 2005, 2006 and of course returning again this year.
The festival theme is to celebrate the high level of motorcycle sport in the UK by praising the success of the British Superbike Championship which is renowned as the most competitive domestic series in the world. As former title winners, Rizla Suzuki is well placed to represent the Championship at Goodwood.
Martyn James, Director of Crescent Motorcycle Co said:
“It really is an honour to be asked to attend Goodwood again. It is a massive event which is very well respected within motorsport. I’m looking forward to being in the same paddock as F1 star Lewis Hamilton. There is always a big crowd of knowledgeable fans which makes the event very special.”
