Virgin Media Yamaha's BJ Toal and Nick Medd head to Mallory Park in Leicestershire this weekend for the sixth round of the 2008 Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship (27th-29th June).
2007 Virgin Media R6 Cup Champion, BJ Toal has acquitted himself well in a series full of vastly more experienced riders this season. The 1.41 mile Mallory Park circuit will provide the next tough test for the 19 year old from Omagh. However, BJ will be confident of another strong result, knowing that he has the ability to win at the Leicestershire circuit.
Nick Medd will continue his course of rehabilitation as he takes to the circuit this weekend. The 28-year old had been forced to sit out three rounds due to illness but gained valuable time in the saddle on his return to racing at Snetterton two weeks ago. Nick has his sights firmly set on the top 15 and his first points under the wing of Rob McElnea.
Free Practice takes place on Friday, with grid positions for Nick and BJ to be decided by the two qualifying sessions split over Saturday, ahead of Sunday's 28-lap race scheduled for 15.30.
BJ Toal: "I'm looking forward to getting back in the saddle and rectifying some of the mistakes that I made at Snetterton. I know that with a good qualifying session I can run up the front in the races, I'm fully focused on improving my qualifying position to achieve a top 5 race finish."
