A full complement of Virgin Media Yamaha Supersport riders will take to the Norfolk circuit of Snetterton this weekend to contest the fifth round of the 2008 Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship (13th-15th June).
BJ Toal will look to continue his rich vein of form that has solidified seventh position in the Championship during the first third of his rookie season. The 20-year old from Omagh has produced a string of mature and determined rides this season and will look to elevate his Virgin Media Yamaha Supersport R6 inside the top five at the fast 1.95 mile former airfield circuit.
After missing the past three rounds to due illness, Nick Medd will be back in the saddle after a successful test at Cadwell Park two weeks ago. The 28-year old is looking to Snetterton to kick-start his 2008 season.
The action begins with Free Practice on Friday. Saturday's two qualifying sessions will decide the final grid ahead of Sunday's 18-lap Supersport showdown scheduled to blast off at 15.40 (15 June).
BJ Toal: "I'm really looking forward to Snetterton. After the three week break that we've had, it will be good to get back into action again. Every time I go out on the bike I keep learning and and feel I'm heading in the right direction, so hopefully I can keep the ball rolling with another strong result this time out."
Rob McElnea, Team Principal: "Snetterton always produces some tight battles and both BJ and Nick will be looking to use the Yamaha's speed on the straights to get them up near the sharp end to bring home the points."
