Sixth event for FIM MX3 World Championship was taking place in Alhama de Murcia and brought success to home GP MX1 rider Jonathan Barragan Nevado, who won both races.

This event was full of surprises. Fortunately this time without bad injuries. The weather was cloudy and at the beginning of the day was also drizzled. Start of the first race was exciting. Carlos Campano Jimenez took the lead. Javier Garcia Vico was just bedind him. Vico's second place was not lasting for the long time, because Nevado was becoming better in every lap. Till the end it was very exciting battle between Barragan and Jimenez. Two laps before the end of the first race Barragan finally passed Jimenez after some attempts.

Third was French Husqvarna rider Christophe Martin. He is constant through the whole season and was close to the podium already in Portugal, when broken bike prevented his success. Now he finally did two good races and finished top three for the first time. In MX3 World Championship Classification he ascendet to the third position. Martin has only three points of advantage in front of Belgian rider Patrick Caps. In the first race Caps finished thirteen, but in the second race he was fifth, just behind Martin.

Two best riders in this season, Italian Cristian Beggi and Belgian Sven Breugelmans were not in top three this time. Christian Beggi crashed already in the warm up. He got some abrasions and blows. He was able to compete at the race and finished it with fourth and seventh place. Beggi was fourth overall. But he is still leading the Championship, because his biggest rival Breugelmans did not have very successful day. In the first race Breugelmans crashed and he did not finished. In the second race Breugelmans was better, he finished third and did not lose too many points. Breugelmans was tenth overall.

In MX3 Championship Classification Beggi is still on the first position, with sixteen points in front of Sven Breugelmans. Christophe Martin is third, Patrick Caps fourth and Thomas Allier fifth.

This was the last race for Spanish rider Javier Garcia Vico. He decided to finish his career at the home event in Alhama de Murcia. Vico is very popular in Spain. His fans almost did not let him ride, because to take a photo with Spanish motocross legend was very precios moment for them. Vico made fifteenth result.

CHRISTOPHE MARTIN:

"Today I got my first podium. I am very happy for this victory, because I know I made happy my Husqvarna team, too. My first start was better than second. I am satisfied with both two races. Specially with final result. In our team it is good atmosphere and there are no distinctions between me and Allier."

CARLOS JIMENEZ CAMPANO:

"This race track is one of the best in Spain. Yesterday I had a big crash in Qualifying practice and I did not know how it will be today with me. I was riding with my second bike of my Spanish team because the other one is in England. I am very happy for second place, even Barragan passed me at the end of the first race."

JONATHAN BARRAGAN NEVADO:

"We had a big battle with Jimenez Campano and it was very exciting. Yesterday I was fast in Qualifying practice, but today I did not find myself very well during the race. I did not want to exaggerate. At the beginning I did not have enough motivation, in the second part of the first race I felt better and I won. I would like to thank to KTM JM Racing Team, who did good preparation of Alvaro's bike just for me."
