Skidmarx have updated their hugger for the Honda XL1000V Varadero to fit all models from 1999 to the present day. Honda’s big adventure touring bike has a reputation for easy convenience and long-term riding comfort and the Skidmarx hugger will enhance its appearance and practicality by providing shock and linkage protection, preventing road grime from being sprayed under the seat area.
Skidmarx manufacture their huggers in the UK from hand laid GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic = ‘fibreglass’), or carbon fibre, both of which can be manufactured in many complex shapes to follow the lines of the bike itself. The Varadero hugger attaches to existing mounting points on the swing arm for a straightforward and tidy fit, without the need for any modification.
It is designed to follow the contour of the rear wheel without fouling the optional luggage system.
These robust huggers are supplied with all necessary fittings and simple to follow instructions. Skidmarx produce their GRP huggers in black as standard, although other colour options are available on request. The Varadero hugger retails for £85.00 inc. VAT in black GRP, with the carbon fibre versions at £129.95.
Most other popular motorcycles are covered – full details are available on the web site or in the free colour catalogue.
