French KTM rider Valentin Teillet was continuing series of great results in Portugal. He did two fantastic races and he is leading EMX2 Championship Classification for 30 points.

The race track was hard, difficult, it has many jumps and different corners. First race was cancelled because of catastrophic crash that happened immediately after the start. Many riders were involved and start has to be repeated. Some of riders were injured. Among those riders were also Spanish Jose Antonio Butron Oliva who was third in EMX2 Championship Classification before the race, Italian Michele De Bortoli, German rider Ken Roczen and some others.

Second start of the first race was successful, but only 35 riders started again. The winner of both races was Valentin Teillet. He was riding his own race and showed predominance for one more time. Teillet is very motivated and self confident.  Specially because his advantage has grown up. His team KTM JM racing team did not have complete weekend, although Teillet and Breugelmans won. Other two riders Lozano and Alletru got injured. Ussualy it is not positive for riders in the team.

Teillet explained: "It is true that after some injuries in the team, you maybe start to think about it. Anyway when I compete I just try to forget it and riding my race."

Loic Larrieu, who took the pole position in Qualifying practice was second in both races and finished also second overall. He was not on podium for the first time in this season, the same as Arnaud Tonus from Switzerland who finished fourth. He was very motivated before the season. Now he shows that he is strong and determinated. Two French riders finished top five. Hugo Dagod was fourth and Cedric Soubeyras was fifth.

"It was successful weekend for me, again. The race track was fast, hard and I like it very much. In the first race I did not make a good start and I was happy that they cancelled it. I was participating in Cortelha for the first time and I had good feeling here. After my wonderful results I am very motivated for next races and I hope I will do my best already in Spain next weekend."

"I had a luck in the first race that I did not crash together with other riders. I was very close to the accident. This race track was hard and had many sharpen stones. I did two good results and finished second. I can just be happy for it."

Arnaud Tonus:

"Yesterday I made some mistakes in Qualifying practice. In the race I did two fast starts. In the second race I was not ride as I would like to, I did some mistakes, again. Finally I finished on podium. I like this race track, although it was hard and phisicaly very difficult. It was difficult to find the right line. I have a big motivation for the season and at the moment I feel very good."
