Following their two strong finishes for Gearlink Kawasaki in the Fuchs/Silkolene British Supersport championship at Thruxton and Oulton Park, Steven Neate and Chris Martin return to Brands Hatch to complete their unfinished business in the rescheduled first round of the series on Sunday.
The first round had seen the riders all complete their qualifying but the meeting had to be postponed because of lying snow on the track on race day.
Chris Martin had gained a fifth place in qualifying back in April and he will start from the head of row two in Sunday’s 18-lap race while Steven Neate originally secured 19th place. But Dennis Hobbs has withdrawn form the rescheduled event because of injury and so Steven finds himself promoted up a place to 18th on the fifth row of the grid.
With the grid already in place there is no qualifying this weekend but the riders will get the benefit of two free practice sessions on Saturday to reacquaint themselves with the 2.3009-mile Grand Prix circuit prior to racing on Sunday.
The 18-lap British Supersport race is due to start at 3.30pm and is included in the live coverage on British Eurosport 2.
