Karl Harris has made an excellent recovery from the horrific incident at Thruxton and is eager to start his contention for the 2008 British Superbike title as round 3 of the 2008 Bennetts British Superbike Championship reaches Oulton Park, Cheshire this weekend (3rd-5th May).

Oulton Park is possibly the most picturesque circuit on the BSB calendar. Set in the stunning woodlands of Old Hall, each year it is the scene of some of the most exhilarating and closely fought battles on track. Voted the best UK circuit by British Superbike fans in 2007, this weekend will be the first of two visits that the British Superbike Championship makes to the Cheshire circuit this season.

One of the favourite and most successful tracks for the 27-year old Sheffield-based rider, over the past two seasons, Karl has proudly taken second place on the podium three times. This year, with the formidable Yamaha package at his disposal, Karl is hungry to go one better and finally stand on the top step of the podium for the first time in his British Superbike career.

Karl will also be appearing on race day at the Think! stand at 14.15, Monday 5 May, located in the main retail area.

The action starts with Free Practice on Saturday, followed by the 50-minute Swan Combi 50 - Roll for Pole Qualifying session at 15.05 on Sunday afternoon. Two of the most eagerly anticipated 18-lap races of the season are scheduled to start at 13.00 and 15.30 on Monday 5 May.

Karl Harris:

"I'm feeling spot on and can't wait to get to Oulton Park this weekend. It's a great circuit that I really enjoy racing at, historically I've gone well there. I just want to put the disappointment of Brands and Thruxton behind us and start to rack up some points, we have definitely worked hard enough for them and want to turn our luck around."

Rob McElnea, Team Principal:

"'Hitman Harris' arrives at Oulton with a few aches and pains but nothing is going to stop him pushing for his first podium of the season at his favourite track. Karl has not put a foot wrong in his build up to the season and in the first two rounds, after a very promising qualifying at Brands and a sure podium position at Thruxton on the cards, we have come to Oulton with nothing other than promise for our efforts. The huge accident involving a cartwheeling Rizla Suzuki was frightening and probably was the only bit of good luck Karl has had as he got away fairly unscathed. We are desperate to get our year going and to see Karl get some rewards for his blistering pace. The lads, our sponsors and all Harris fans will be rooting for this weekend to be the turning point of our season."
