Ninja ZX-10R Takes First Win

The 2008 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R has claimed its first victory in the UK. Astro Racing’s, Kenny Gilbertson, took his ZX-10R to victory at Mallory Park last weekend proving the new machine is going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Gilbertson took his first win of the season in round one of the new Thundersport GB series held at the Leicestershire track, and with Ninja ZX-10Rs also claiming third and fourth in the race it was a good day for the Kawasaki riders.

“It’s fantastic to win my first race this season,” said Gilbertson, “The bike went well and even though it wasn’t the greatest of conditions, wets on a fast drying track, it was great to be the first across the line. I’m looking forward to the start of the British Superstock Championship and I hope to be claiming a lot more podium finishes with the Ninja ZX-10R this year.”
