Round three of the British Superbike championship takes place this bank holiday weekend at Oulton Park and Airwaves Ducati are feeling confident following a strong start to the season.

Shane Byrne won at Thruxton two weeks ago and achieved three podiums in the championships two visits to the 2.692 mile Cheshire circuit last year. As the early championship leader he is looking forward to continuing his good start to the season.

"I am really enjoying riding the Airwaves Ducati 1098R and it is suited to a technically challenging circuit like Oulton Park so I am looking forward to performing well this weekend. I achieved podiums there last year and I am confident I can continue my run of good form, secure more championship points and hopefully extend my championship lead. The Airwaves Ducati team have worked so hard over the last couple of rounds to get the best out of me and the bike and I think that will continue to pay off this weekend and we will achieve more great results."

Leon Camier achieved a number of goals set for him at Thruxton, securing an impressive 4th and 5th place finish and he is hoping for another good performance on bank holiday Monday.

"I am looking forward to getting to Oulton Park and using the data we gathered at Thruxton to improve my performance more. I have worked on getting fitter and stronger and I am feeling really good now, I am confident that I can overcome my injury issues and set myself higher goals this weekend. Oulton Park is a circuit I like and the Airwaves Ducati team have done well there in the past; I think I can achieve a good result and improve my position in the championship standings."

Round Three of the Bennetts British Superbike championship takes place on bank holiday Monday, 5th May.
