Italy hosted the third FIM MX3 World Championship event this weekend. It was a sunny event, that brought the biggest success to the home rider Cristian Beggi from Honda Martin Racing Team.

There were two exciting starts in MX3 World Championship race. In the first race Belgian Sven Breugelmans (KTM) took the lead. He started very fast and got quite a big advantage. But home rider Cristian Beggi (Honda) became more and more closer. Beggi started to make pressure on Breugelmans and finally he passed him. Breugelmans started to indulge and Beggi was englaring his advantage. We saw the first surprise this season. Czech rider Martin Michek finished third in the first race, with a very good riding. He was close to the Breugelmans all the time.

In the second race Cristian Beggi became the leader already in the first lap of the race. It was a great show for specators and Beggi enjoyed the big support at his home event. Czech rider Jan Zaremba exploded again. It was the third event of the season and his third podium. He finished second. Spanish rider Alvaro Lozano (KTM) finished third overall. Lozano got the first podium as a member of  KTM JM Racing Team.

Another Italian rider was the top five. Stefano Dami (Honda) finished fourth overall. French Husqvarna rider Christophe Martin finished fifth. The second rider from Husqvarna team Tomas Allier crashed with Czech Martin Zerava in the second race and it cost him good result.

Cristian Beggi took the leadership in Championship Classification. He has got seven points of advantage infront of Jan Zaremba. Sven Breugelmans fall to the third position after he had a bad second race in Italy.

Cristian Beggi:

This weekend was really successful for me. Before my home MX3 World Championship event I wished a good result and now I did it with two great victories. This race track is not my favourite. I actually knew the race track because I was competing here before, but I did not knew it very well. This season I hope I will collect as much points as possible and I look forward for a good result at the end of Championship Classification.«

Jan Zaremba:

This was the third event this season and my third podium. It is fantastic! In the first race I crashed and finished sixth. Second race was much better. I made a fast start, also continuing was good. I passed some riders and I came behind of Beggi. I was training in Italy many times but it was my first time in San Severino. The race track is hard and it has many technical parts, that are difficult. But this time again I finished top three and that is the most important.

Alvaro Lozano:

It was a very hard weekend for me. I had big problems with my stomach and I could not eat almost the whole weekend. So I am very happy for this result. It is my first podium this season. I did two fast starts. But in the first race I could not finished better as on the fifth place. In the second race I was riding behind of Beggi and I got a stone into my glasses. They were broken and I was riding almost the whole race without glasses. At the end everything was perfect for me and I am really happy to finished on podium.«
