Marc Coma was flying yesterday. He set the fastest time with an average speed of 94 km/h, and finished 1min 15 secs in front of second placed Cyril Despres. With 5 factory riders in the lead and 9 KTM's within the first 10 KTM scored a maximum result today and it also showed the potential of the Rally Light.
Marc Coma Finds his Rhythm
"It was sandy, bumpy and very fast at the same time this morning. On a first day it's always important to find your rhythm and to get the feeling. I'm quite happy with the bike, we're in the right direction. We expected to battle with the 450's,but they were no threat today."
Cyril Despres Happy with His Result
"A lot of sun and sand today. In the corners it was a little bit like Le Touquet, really nice to drive. You could call it a big prologue today, as it was short, but I'm happy with the result. We made a good first impression, which is good for us. "
