Karl Harris will line up at the head of the second row for round two of the 2008 Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Thruxton tomorrow, 20 April.

The Rob Mac Racing Yamaha Superbike rider had topped two of the three Free Practice sessions, and looked odds-on to record his second front-row start of the season. However, with the final throws of the dice, Karl was nudged off the front row for the first time this weekend. A solid 1:20.372s lap on his final circulation after the chequered flag was enough to solidify fifth position ahead of Leon Camier (Airwaves Ducati).

Both 20-lap British Superbike races will be screened live on British Eurosport. Race One gets underway at 13.00, with the second trip to the grid scheduled for 15.30 tomorrow, Sunday 20th April.

Karl Harris:

"I really struggled to get a clear lap, it was so trafficy out there and I just couldn't find any clear space. We've got a really good race set up for tomorrow and I'm confident that we can get a good start and make up the shortfall."

Rob McElnea, Team Principal:

"We've had a really solid couple of days from Karl which is great for the whole team off the back of Brands. It keeps the momentum going for us although we didn't get the grid position we quite expected. We had a tyre issue early in the session but we are happy with a start position on the first two rows. We are here for tomorrow and not for today and confident with our race set-up."
