Last year he only participated in a few races of the 125GP Road Racing Italian Championship as he was part of the Red Bull Rookies Cup, that brought him on the main European tracks and where he obtained a final second place thanks to a couple of victories, and a second position he obtained right here at Mugello. In 2007 he took part in four of the six Italian Championship races, making his debut in the opening race and immediately conquering a historical pole position, setting an important new record on the Mugello track.
Lorenzo Savadori, has just turned 15 years old, in this season he will participate in all the Italian Championship races with an Aprilia prepared by the RCGM Team from Bertinoro, Italy, a team that has been dominating the category for years and won’t surely stop it now. There are only a few days left and Lorenzo declared to be absolutely ready for this new adventure in the 2008 Road Racing Italian Championship.
“The Mugello is a circuit I like even if I think its track is very difficult. Anyway, last year, as a rookie, I conquered a nice record: I became the youngest rider to conquer the pole position at Mugello. This year my goal is bigger: I’m heading to victory, and I know I can make it. I’m very excited and I will make my best to obtain the best result I can on Sunday. I would like to have the possibility, with the help of the Italian Federation, to obtain a wild card for the World Championship that will be held in this track at the beginning of July”.
The 125GP race is scheduled on Sunday 20 April at 1.35 pm and will be 11 laps long.
