After round one of the FIM Motocross World Championship at Valkenswaard, the Netherlands, on April 6, here are the updated season statistics. MX1 Ken de Dycker made a stunning debut in the bright yellow Teka Suzuki WMX1 colours by dominating the opening weekend of the FIM Motocross World Championship.
The Belgian took the pole and the overall victory, courtesy of his first career double moto win. Moreover he lead all the 34 laps and even clocked the lap record during the race, handing Suzuki the victory of the Dutch Grand Prix.
Defending MX1 World Champion and team mate Steve Ramon took a solid second on the podium after a tough weekend –the Belgian had been sick the days before the first GP. A surprising Max Nagl, at his first GP with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team, completed the podium in third place.

At Valkenswaard young guns and Champ KTM Team mates Joel Roelants and Jeremy van Horebeek took good starts to the heats, leading for four and three laps respectively, but in the long run they could not keep up with lap record setter Rattray.
