Toni Elias, Alice Team rider, has concluded the third qualifying session of the season in fourteenth place, the same of his best performance conquered at the first race of the season in Qatar. In the other side of the garage Toni’s teammate, Frenchman Sylvain Guintoli, has slipped in the official session after the first few laps. After having concluded the session, the French rider went to the mobile clinic to check the situation of his injury, but, luckily, it doesn’t seems a worrying situation. Sylvain has slightly twisted his left ankle and he shouldn’t have any complication for Tomorrow’s race.

Fabiano Sterlacchini – Technical Director

“Today’s result doesn’t satisfy us, but compare to the last qualifying session we can consider it a starting point. The things we had to try didn’t give us the expected results. We have to continue to work. For sure it will hard and difficult, but we don’t’ give up. Tomorrow morning during the warm up we will try the last to modifications we had in mind to be at the best for the race.”

Toni Elias – Alice Team Rider (14th best lap time in 1’38.561 – Total laps 22)

“I can’t be happy of the position with have conquered. Fourteenth position isn’t our objective. We have to accept the situation, but we can’t do worst than this in the classification. This is a track that highlights the problems we have, therefore is not easy. I am not looking at the fact that I am the second best Ducati rider on the starting grid: I prefer to exclusively concentrate on my work to improve. Tomorrow I will give the best possible to gain as many points as I can.”

Sylvain Guintoli – Alice Team Rider (18th best lap time in 1’39.355 – Total laps 21)

“This morning we had a good rhythm. Then in the afternoon I slipped after only a few laps and I had to work with the second bike. I lost the rear part of the bike and in the fall I slightly twisted my ankle. Luckily it’s nothing serious and some ice should let me be able to ride in tomorrow’s race.”
