Kawasaki Motors UK is pleased to announce that the Motorcycle Centre in Stockport has re-opened its doors with a brand new look. Former racer, Chris Barton, is the new owner of the Kawasaki dealership and he has already started making his mark.
Chris, and the Motorcycle Centre, will be supporting Christian Elkin in the British Superstock Championship on board the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R for 2008. Chris previously worked with Christian during his time as Team Owner and Manager of BBR Racing after stepping down himself as a rider at the end of 2005. Chris has 30 years experience of racing at all levels including national and international.
“It was actually Christian who told me about this opportunity and it is working out really well,” said Chris. “We have already refurbished the showroom and we are continuing to make more improvements to the shop including a new retail area on the upper floor, which will be open soon”. Plans to install a Dynojet Rolling Road are also in progress so that the team can share their racing knowledge with customers.
“Chris has made a big impression on the Motorcycle Centre in a very short time and with more still to come we are looking forward to Kawasaki having a strong presence in the Stockport area,” concluded Michael Johnstone, Kawasaki Motors UK Sales Manager.
