Once more a bad day which completed a week end to forget for Team Triumph-SC at Valencia circuit, third round of World Supersport. Garry McCoy and Ilario Dionisi race just a few laps before to stop. The Roman guy crashed at the second lap, while McCoy got a brilliant start, but has beel forced to stop for technical problems.
A disappointed Garry McCoy commented: “I had a good start earning some position, but just during the third lap i felt something wrong in the engine, I did slow down hoping in a temporary trouble, but it went on and I’ve been forced to retire. Now, waiting for Assen, we’ll have to work hardly, but the Team has a great ability to close the gap.”
Ilario Dionisi said: “I didn’t start well and I found myself in the rear of the pack, then somebody touched me too strong and I crashed. It’s a pity because we mounted a new engine and after yesterday’s practices I was confident.”
