The first 2008 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R was picked up by national competition winner Steve Crooks at the new Kawasaki Leicester dealership this week. Steve was handed the keys to his new machine by Kawasaki’s MSS Discovery British Superbike rider, Billy McConnell.

Steve became the first customer in the UK to be allocated a brand new 2008 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R after visiting his local franchised dealer, Drayton Croft Motorcycles, for the Nationwide Dealer Launch in February and was the lucky winner drawn to win the ZX-10R.

Steve Crooks, a BT Engineer, couldn’t believe it when they announced he had won the ZX-10R. “I was absolutely stunned. I came to the launch to have a look at the bike after reading a great write up and I wanted to check it out in the flesh. I’ve never won anything in my life – not even a tenner on the lottery – so this was quite something and it took a couple of days to sink in.”

“It’s great to be picking up the keys and I can’t wait to take it out for the first time,” said Steve who has been riding for 25 years.
